| making an electronic cookbook I would like to take the recipes I've collected over the years and make a digital cookbook for myself. I hate when I want to use a recipe I have to go searching through a big recipe box. Have any of you done this? I have looked at software to purchase, but a lot of it is more complicated than I wanted. Please let me know if you have any suggestions, or know of a good software package that is user friendly. |

| I hope so. I have wanted to do this for a long time. I just had foot surgery so I will be off work for a couple months and it would be a great time to get it done. |

| I use Living Cookbook Recipe Software | Living Cookbook 2011 There is a 30 day free trial, but when I downloaded the free trial I used it for a couple of hours and then went and bought it, I was completely sold on it. I love it It comes with a lot of recipes, but you can always delete the ones you don't want, and you can make your own cookbook chapters etc. Right now I have 22293 recipes in the program - but I do need to delete quite a few of them as they are recipes I won't use. I like that I can add my own photo of the dish with the recipe, and that I can e-mail a recipe directly from the program (only available with the paid version)

| What a great idea! I'm with you on that one, I dislike having to retrieve a card from the recipe box. Technology makes things so much more easier and efficient. |
