| We use to have dinner with my mom's BFF. It wasn't fancy, but we would eat together. She, her husband, and youngest son passed away 2 years ago. The holidays in general are sour in my family. Not to mention most food that is eaten in the name of the holiday doesn't look very appealing. I do love me some mashed potatoes! Especially the ones Priscilla makes. Yum....

| I am making: Turkey Stuffing Crispy Potato Roast -- Crispy Potato Roast Recipe Asparagus in bread sticks -- Pepperidge Farm® - Prosciutto Asparagus Spirals Pumpkin Lust Cake (this is amazing!) --http://www.sweettreatsmore.com/2011/11/pumpkin-lust-cake.html Stuffed Individual Sweet Potatoes -- Stuffed Sweet*Potatoes | Sweet Pea's Kitchen -- I'll leave the other side dishes & desserts up to others in the family. I think my mom will make her cranberries and a pie. I'll have plenty of veggies (esp. corn & LeSeur Early Peas) at the ready if it looks like we need them. I have to wait til the last few days to finalize my menu based on what others might bring. My one DIL has to work at the hospital this year for Thanksgiving. She is a great cook so her dishes (AND HERSELF) will be missed! The Crispy Potato Roast and Stuffed Individual Sweet Potatoes are changes from my usual Mashed Potatoes and Baked Sweet Potatoes with Brown Sugar & Marshmallows. But I saw the recipes and just decided to change some things up a little. I linked recipes to the ones I knew were online. Believe me that Pumpkin Lust Cake is so worth it!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I like all the sides the most... Turkey is good... depends on the year...LOL I have to have my mom's stuffing... Seriously it is amazing She is so talented. And her sweet potatoes... oh they taste like Candy! And I grew up in Idaho so there is nothing like a giant bowl of very creamy mashed potatoes! I can make them in my sleep! I know Harvest just finished and my mom's fruit room is filled with some gorgeous potatoes right now!!! Almond Beans... Basically green bean casserole with a huge makeover.. It is incredible! My mom tweaked it.. Homeade rolls.. Pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting!!! YIKES! Now I am hungry!
