Cindy i can't buy Duke's in my area but got a jar out of town, I didn't like because it was to salty, but for someone that likes salty foods you may like, i am going to stay with krafts salad dressing/mayo i like both

I thought it wasn't more salty, but more tangy. I thought Best Foods was more salty. Maybe Best Foods and Hellmans does taste different even though supposedly it's the same expect the name?

I don't think it tastes more salty either. Totally has more of a "tang" to it


BTW, the Mediterranean Sea Salt is a really good every day salt

Maybe. You know what it looks like right? The funny baby on the package. Sometimes it's in the refrigerated section, sometimes it's not. Mix that with sriracha and you got the base sauce for spicy tuna, or spicy anything. Also a great dipping sauce for fried shrimp.

Well Hellmans/Best Foods is supposed to be the best mayo out there, but some like Dukes better. Dukes is only available in the south and east (I think, Lisa's got a map of the official states ) It's very creamy, a little less thick than Best Foods, and a bit more tangier. I will have to do a side by side taste test, but I don't have any Best Foods right now.

Also, apparently it's great for egg, chicken, or potato salads.

Here in Georgia we use Hellmanns. When we lived in Denver and Albuquerque we used Best Foods. Hubby is a Mayo Snob - and for many of our 30 years of marriage would only eat those brands. Believe me, he could detect a difference between the two "brands". It is very possible that the same product made with the same ingredients in different parts of the country will have a slightly difference taste. Some ingredients such as eggs, milk, and water have a different taste in different areas of the country.

I made deviled eggs, potato salad and chicken salad last weekend using Hellmanns. Even if I say so myself, it was truly yummy!

Have you tried salty fries dipped in ketchup + mayo mixed together?!! With maybe a splash of bbq sauce added too? Sally x
