Here in Georgia we use Hellmanns. When we lived in Denver and Albuquerque we used Best Foods. Hubby is a Mayo Snob - and for many of our 30 years of marriage would only eat those brands. Believe me, he could detect a difference between the two "brands". It is very possible that the same product made with the same ingredients in different parts of the country will have a slightly difference taste. Some ingredients such as eggs, milk, and water have a different taste in different areas of the country.
