| Apple Recipes I just love apple desserts and food with apples featured. Thought we could share recipes with apples in them. My new fav "salad" is the apple and snicker salad: 2 granny smith apples peeled, cored, and diced 2 snickers bars 1 block 8oz. cream cheese 1 tub 8oz whipped topping jar of caramel ice cream topping Mix the cream cheese and whipped topping together, add apples and crushed up snickers bars (easier to crush when frozen overnight). serve chilled with drizzled warm caramel topping. |

| I love my apple crumb cake. So good and easy to make. 9x13 pan Ingredients for crust: 4 1/2 cups flour 1 cup sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 3 blocks butter Mix flour, sugar, salt. No sifting. Cut butter into flour mixture. (Do not stir) Ingredients for apple mixture: 8-10 medium apples; peeled, cored, and sliced. I like to use pacific rose apples and slice it thinly) 1 tsp. quick cooking tapioca 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 3/4 cup sugar Mix above ingredients together in bowl. Add apple slices. In pan put 1/2 crumb mixture and press lightly. Pour apple mix over crumb layer and sprinkle the rest of the crumb mix on top. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake 1 hour. * If using very sweet apples you may cut down on the sugar. Delish as a la mode.
