It's Sunday night so I'm checking out the state of the refrigerator for trash night.

LOL that's (rainbow) swiss chard-it was getting dried out so I put it on a baking tray and sprayed water on it to rehydrate it.

Yeah the carrots are rainbow carrots from a local farm-I shop at our (north coast) co-op, so the majority of it is all local organic produce. Totally no GMO.

I LOVE RAINBOW food :D no it's the only way we can get the miniature people here to eat some stuff like they eat pasta okay but if it's rainbow rotini they'll clear their plates!
Wow! I'll have to be on the lookout for that next time. maybe at a farmer's market? Gorgeous! How's the romanesco broccoli compared to regular broccoli? Glad to hear the mini people eat veggies, that's usually a challenge.

That's the meat done and then I plated it and took a picture,-oh there's rainbow carrots, and then penne and rotinni with butter, salt and pepper, and of course Larrupin Dill Mustard sauce!
I just noticed it. It's not funky, its asian LOL We have one too.

LOL my steamer yeah but my steamer is like funky because it's all hella dented and yeah been used for a looonnnnnnnnnnng while-I go through like 3 baskets a year for it well on a good year-it's the only way to make jasmine sticky rice though that I know of. The first thing I learned to cook was Hmong food.

I don't know yeah maybe farmers market it does exceedingly well in California so yeah or if you have a little Italian market oh the Swiss chard yeah totally a hippy fav. LOL or at high end health food stores. Strange huh?

The romanesco broccoli is like a bit more bitter and has a very different texture it's very firm and more like huh like cauliflower actually it's also called the Italian caluiflower and broccoflauwer etc.

I'd smother both with butter but honestly both I can only eat if they are covered in Larrupin dill mustard sauce I don't know if you an get it everywhere it's from a local restauranteur....but if you have a fav. sauce cover it. Both are super good for you but not the most appealing of taste...

As far as I know it's the only way to properly make sticky rice. You have just risen multiple points in my Asian-ness book. :D

I've emailed Waitrose - apparently a British company called Bendicks supply them. I've looked at that website - they don't ship outside the EU.

So I've had a look on US Amazon - and this is the closest thing I can find:-

Grocery + Gourmet - Chocolate Mint Creams - Page 1 - Item 16 - Fazer - Fazermint Chocolate Creams.

Apart from that, just eaten a hot maple pecan danish washed down with a cappucino which was very yummy too!! ;) Sally x

Just had late brunch - sauage and gravy over a biscuit and over easy egg. Now I wish I had that bitter dark chcolate/mint candy for dessert as brunch is goooooonnneee.

Ugh you just reminded me I had a piece of pizza hut meat lovers last night, and I was tossing and turning all night! I could not sleep at all.

I was stuck at the shop by myself today, and craving a grilled cheese but didn't get one, decided to eat a cup of noodle, but this brand was terrible. Way too spicy and no flavor at all. I ended up taking two bites and threw it away.

It was good. I was afraid to try the berries on the French vanilla since it is such a strong taste so I just ate them first and "chased" them with the pudding. I'm trying to eat healthy as am having hip surgery and need all the good nutrition I can get. Normally I don't have dessert hardly ever but doc says puddings and fresh sherbets, things like that are healthy desserts as long as portions are small. So I've been eating almost like a pregnant woman!

You know I'm not big into desserts, but I really like blueberries with cottage cheese. The frozen blueberries work well (well defrosted of course) bc they have a bit of "sauce" to it, as opposed to fresh ones. I like the mix of the sweet/tart berries with the creamy and salty cottage cheese.

I'm just waiting for you to tell me you hate cottage cheese. LOL

MM that sounds like something different to try. I like cottage cheese with pears or peaches or evqn canned fruit cocktail is good

Oh, I love cottage cheese! Should add that to my diet for the calcium, etc.! And with my blueberries, that sounds goooood. I just love cottage cheese with plain old crackers, too.

Yeah anything with a bit of the syrup mixed in, that's as sweet as I'll go. hee hee But I really like the "pop" of the blueberries

I got brave and tried the a couple spoons blueberries in a bit of pudding - Fantastic! Flavors blended wonderfully and the berry flavor did POP.
