No. I assumed it was something else. I'm so disappointed! Fooled by a fish taco. :( ;) :p |

What did you think it was, sesos? It's the first pic after the say no to drugs pic. What else do they deep fry and put in a taco? I'd think sesos would be even more gross to you. Potato tacos have a hard shell, so can't be that. |
Sesos are good. I thought it was lengua. I need to go get my glasses. |
When did you start eating sesos and lengua? And you'd rather have fried brains than fried fish? I think the lengua one is the 2nd pic all the way on the right side. |

You don't like fish tacos Lisa? I didn't think there was a food out there you didn't like. How come so many people don't like seafood? You guys are missing out. One type of fish does not taste like another. There's a reason why some fish is cheap and others are expensive. |
Do you like lobster? Take orange roughy and poach in milk. Will taste and have the texture just like lobster. Melinda Lee taught me that. :) |

no.....I do not like fish much unless the flavor is greatly masked  |

Nothing from the sea for me. And I mean NOTHING. I'd rather have lengua. I won't even eat at the table if my parents are having fish. I'd rather wait until they're done and clean up the kitchen. |

Most rule of thumb, if a fish smells, it's old. Shellfish starts to decompose soon after death, faster so than fish. It's better to go to a market that sells whole fish, so you can look at the eyes, shiny glossy eyes means fresh. Then have the fish monger prep it for you. However, most fish markets stink due to the trash there. You'd have to go to a high end place. Or even better, buy the fish in the tanks that are still swimming. Chilean Sea Bass is SOOOO good. Even my vegetarian friend who hates all seafood said it was the best thing ever. |

What? I really don't like it and I can't explain it. Or would you rather hear a fake story of a giant tuna biting me in the butt when I was little? |
Yeah why can't you at least humor me? You mean to tell me at a young age you tasted every type of seafood in the world and decided you didn't like it? I'm sure there are some seafood you will like, you are just scared to find out you like it. ;p There are plenty of foods I hated as a kid and now love. Come to find out my mom is a terrible cook. Oh and I now try new foods at least twice and in different ways until I can honestly say I don't like it. |
I will try any normal food once, unless it is undercooked/bloody. Now those insect-based foods and cooked cats and dogs from other cultures - no go! But most things made in restaurants in this country, I would try. Am excited by new tastes. |

LOL! I swear I came from the same house I think. I used to "eat to live", did not really like food. Then I moved out to another state and found out I really like food - it was my mother's cooking that was the problem! (Of course, I went from 97 lb to ???). |

My dad once locked me in the garage with my dinner and said I couldn't come out until I finished it. I won. :D I am also no longer 97 lbs. :p |

we should start a "my mom sucks at cooking" club. Aren't there any strange traditional dutch foods that we don't know about? What is traditional dutch food anyway? Quote:
