Food tour I want to do a mini tour of the :flag: and hit some of the food Mecca's and hot spots around the country! I would like to start a list of "MUST VISITS" in different cities. Would anyone like to help me compile the list?? :D:D I added $ signs to signify the base price point! You have to try Mariela's Taco. Really good tacos from a hole in the wall place. Yum yum! |

Treat Street here in Kalamazoo has the best hot dogs on a homemade, grilled bun, sooo good. It's a little place & they have a little outdoor patio where you could probably bring a pup...or two.;) And of course they have lot's of ice cream! |

Yes, Mariela's is in LA. It's not a famous place, but it sure hits the spot when you are craving good Mexican, and you're not too concerned with your waistline. Pinky's is famous for their hot dogs. I've only been there once, and we had to wait over an hour to get inside. There's another place in downtown that has a long wait. I haven't been there either, but I'd love to see what the hype is all about. |

Sushi: Kyala in Diamond Bar, CA $$-$$$ (depends on what you order) yummy and fresh uni, ankimo there is so good (monkfish liver) Mexican: La Fondita in Placentia, CA $-$$ for huitlacoche ;) and BOMB menudo with NO hominy! LOL Burgers: Fuddruckers, Buena Park,CA $ OMG you can get a 1 lb burger there, beats In N Out and Five Guys any day. Buffet: Studio B, Henderson, NV $$-$$$ the best buffet I have ever been to, better than Bellagio, Wynn, Rio Budget: Bahn Mi Che Cali, Westminster, CA $ (I should actually put a cents sign there) 3 8" long bahn mi sandwiches for $5 Those are the short list of my favorites. |
