Just in case you are ever in NC! Durham/Chapel Hill/Carrboro, NC: I wish I never had to move! I miss all of these places sooo much...it was seriously food heaven for me. -My favorite restaurant is Mint in Chapel Hill. I am obsessed with Indian food. A more hole-in-the wall Indian joint is Tandoor, also in Chapel Hill, and literally in the basement of an insurance agency. Also very good. Did I mention how much I love Indian food? -Foster's Market: There is a location in Durham and one in Chapel Hill. I love sitting outside at the Chapel Hill location with Levi. Their brunch food is delicious. -Elmo's Diner: Also has two locations - one in Carrboro and one in Durham. I am partial to the one is Carrboro...the town of Carrboro in itself is amazing. Charlotte, NC: AKA where I live now for work/school...not my favorite place on earth! -Zada Jane's: Hands-down, my favorite place to eat in Charlotte...especially for brunch. I'm big on brunching. -The Diamond: Renovated old diner = amazing -Cabo Fish Taco: The longer I live here, the more I like this restaurant. A seafood/Mexican grill type place. There is another one somewhere in VA. |
OH! OH! I almost forgot! Amelie's is a French bakery in Charlotte, and it is amazing. They have different homemade soups every day, and tons of desserts (my favorite is the salted caramel brownie), and delicious foods and breads. |
Where in Mexico are you? |
someplace that is all :rain:and :lightning and is deprived of huitlacoche! gasp! |
alldogboots: After the mud piles I'm not sure I'm going to try crawfish! They're dirty little buggers - Ugh! :p (I guess you can say the same about a lot of things we eat, now that I think about it.) kdhawks: You've got my mouth watering this am - the mexican cabo fish taco/grill place and salted caramel brownies! That sounds like a great brunch to me! |

OMG this place is on our food tour when you get here Lisa! Roscoe's Famous Deli - Fullerton, CA We tried the pastrami reuben today. When I took a bite it was so soft and just melted in your mouth. The pastrami was not all greasy and fatty, it was like huge chunks like pulled pork. Bf actually said holy sh** as he was eating it. OMG YUM!!! I should have taken a pic. It was huge. Come with a side of potato, mac, or pasta salad, or potato cheese soup. and a half of a huge dill pickle. |
