Ute, I have never tried escargot, I'm deathly afraid of snails! Even my vegetarian bff ate escargots before and she said it just tastes like garlic.

Yeah, we bake them in special dishes and put garlic butter and cheese on top. I wasn't a fan of seafood in the first place, I can't eat anything that stares at me i.e. has eyes, like lobster, but once in a while I do enjoy scallops. I would NEVER eat jelly fish....lol.

Yep, the thymus of a cow/calf. It is described in the link above. We ate them breaded and fried. YUM! Haven't had them in years!

I've seen some serve them in the shells. It's the shells that I am scared of. Well no actually the tentacle eyes. If they are not served in the shells I may try them. Next time I go on a cruise.

btw, jellyfish don't have eyes. :D I don't think you would survive a Chinese banquet then. EVERYTHING has the head on still. Fish, duck, lobster, etc. It's tradition to show that the whole animal is served and not holding back any of the "good" parts lol. We have a tradition in our family amongst the kids (we are in our late 20s-mid 30s, yeah kids HA!) When my oldest boy cousin isn't looking, my vegetarian cousin takes the head of whatever we have and put it in his teacup. He still has to drink his tea though. that's the funny part. We introduced the tradition to his new wife last christmas. LOL!

I make indian food sometimes... I'm not indian but I just love the flavors. I make butter chicken (Murgh Makhani)with Garam Masala... I also make a dish that is a lamb, date and pine nut stew served over couscous... I believe that is an indian dish. I loooovveeee Naan bread too!

Yuuuuuuum Butter Chicken (Chicken/Murg Makhani) is the BEEEST!!! The lamb dish sounds more Middle Eastern (so good!) as Indians don't use Couscous:) Naan is the bomb:)

I'm just a beginner at Indian food. What is the veggie dish called that has cooked mixed veggies (broccoli, squash, carrot, peas, etc) in a yellow sauce, looks like curry, but doesn't taste too curryish, possiblly has some cream in it(?). It's so good! the indian counter at my favorite market has labels on the food, but the labels are all worn off and i don't know what anything is called! I also love naan bread!

I get the lamb shank combo that comes with the above veggie side, saffron or basmati rice, salad, yorgurt, and naan bread for $6.99, and on tues and thurs all food court items are 50% off! :D:D:D Guess what I'm having tomorrow for lunch?

Do you ever make Naan bread pizza? I buy Fresh and Easy’s (a store in CA) garlic Naan. Put the bread in the oven and broil for about a minute, take it out. Spread on pesto sauce, mozzarella, sliced tomato, chopped fresh basil and crumble more mozzarella on top. Put back in the oven and bake until bubbly, killer! I use this for an appetizer a lot…

There are lots of other toppings you might enjoy as well ~ Simple, and delicious.

It's with the bread and tortillas. Comes in a package of four, LOVE Fresh and Easy! Inexpensive, and their food is rated higher than Trader Joes for quality. I use Roma tomatoes, perfect size for the Naan bread.

Thanks for the tip! I always go at night, and notice a lot of the bread is already sold out. maybe that's why I've never seen it before. Mmmm, hungry now....

Have you tried their veggie chili soup? It's so good and it's really low fat!

Oh wow... YUM!!! I usually buy Naan at Trader Joes. I love that store! There are not many in my area. The nearest one is b/t my work and my house so I stop once a month or so to stock up. I always buy garlic naan but never made pizza with it. I am going to now though!!!
For Indian food there are also these little things that are a stuffing type mixture of potatoes, curry, peas, onions and then it's stuffed into crescent rolls and baked. Soooooo yummy!!!
