| If you just want a pet they are not too important...HOWEVER... if it is an unpapered dog, you don't know for sure if it's purebred. So it depends on what you want. If you are breeding, I think they should be papered...but also tested for the commonly found health issues in yorkies, like lp, etc. That being said, just because you buy a registered dog, does not mean it doesn't have any health issues. It just means they are purebred yorkie. You have to know who you are buying from. good luck! deb |
