| Need Comfort... Hello Everyone My Childhood Dog That I Grew Up With Is Going To Be Put To Sleep Tommorrow. My Mom Called Me This Mornimg At Like 5 Telling Me It Was Very Important Wake Up And So I Called Back And She Said The Bam Bam Had Been Crying All Night And So She Went To Check On Him And He Was Fine But Whinning So She Gave Him Another Blanket And Another Pillow To Lay On And When She Woke Up This Morining He Had Blood Everywhere So I Got Dressed And Went Over There And He Was Laying In The Yard So I Examined The Blanket And Pillow And They Were Covred In Blood And So I Walked Over To Him And His Stomach Was Matted In Blood And So I Rolled Him Over And I Thought He Had Been Attacked But I Loked And It Was Gushing From His Pee Pee, So I Freaked And Called The Vet And He Said To Bring Him To His Office And Then He Said He Was Nt Sure Of The Reason Yet But That He Would Have To Put Him Asleep Due To The Amount Of Blood He Lost. But I Cried And Bawled And Cried Some More, But He Was Just Guching Blood Out Of His Pee Pee Amd That Was The Only Place He Was Bleeding From. Has This Happened To Any Of You Guys Before Or Do You Guys Know What Caused This, The Vet Said He Would Get Back With Us But You Guys Know So Much Here. Thanks Guys

| I searched and found this. There are two things to think about when bleeding occurs from the penis. The first is an injury to the penis or some other part of the urinary tract leading to the hemorrhage. The second is a bleeding disorder that is affecting the entire dog but showing up as bleeding from the penis. It is important to note that occasional instances of small amounts of bleeding from the penis (several drops but enough to be noticeable) are not highly unusual in intact male dogs and often do not seem to cause any significant problems. This is especially true when they are aware of a female in heat but not able to breed with her. It sounds like you are seeing more bleeding than this, though http://www.vetinfo4dogs.com/dmale.html |

| I am so very sorry for your heartache. I wonder if your dear Bam am might have cancer of some sort. We had an elderly Chow Chow that had cancer and for several months before we lost her she had regular blood transfusions. sending hugs |

| I am so sorry to hear about your dog. How old is he? What kind is he? This is really hard, I know. I had to have my Siamese Cat Tuffy put down when I was 18. I had had her since I was 2. She lived a long, spoiled, very loved life. I used to dress her up in my doll's clothes and push her around the neighborhood in my doll buggy. Ever since I had to put her to sleep, I have been extremely allergic to cats. It was one of the saddest and hardest things for me to do. It was like the last piece of my childhood was gone! I am very sorry!

| It all sounds so suspicious. If he is put down, have an autopsy done. I think someone may have given him something he wasn't suppose to eat. |
