Mine are exacly the same way. Tiki takes a treat, goes lays it down next to Surfie, and comes back for hers. I thought maybe it was because she was female, but yours are oppisite of mine, Surfie my Yorkie, is a male, Tiki is a female. Surfie is the boss, no doubt about it, Tiki does not seem to mind at all.......
Tiki was potty trained in about two months, Surfie not so much....Arrgggggg. Still working on him.

Sounds like Maltese are just as wonderful as our Yorkies! Having both would be nice .... but I can't even think of another right now. House-training two is enough of a handful. I have a total of 4 already.

That is what is so nice about this site -- we get to learn a little and see pictures of all these beautiful babies!

He's GORGEOUS ! I bet lots of us thought about maltese too before getting a yorkie - I know I did and yours is just stunning - I love his face !!

You know, true sharing would mean he lives with me half the time & you half the time. Seriously, he's gorgeous. May I ask his size & where you got him? I'd like my next dog to be a Maltese, I think. The only thing that is scaring me off is the grooming. I hear they are hard to keep up. Do you find that to be true??

OMG! I am in love! That first picture is just so wonderful!!!

We thought about Maltese too, but I try to shy away from "white" because I am afraid of the tear staining, but boy....what did we miss out on??? I wonder if my daughter would ever get over wanting a poodle???!! hee,hee - jk!

I think you are missing out J/K but really Maltese are wonderful. Tear staining can be a problem but there are ways to treat them I ordered a product called angel's eye and if I use it for a week on him he can go 2 to 3 months without stains Although I love the maltese breed, my baby I want it to be a YORKIE!!!
