| I have two Maltese and one Yorkie. They all get along great. Of coarse my little Yorkie thinks she is the boss. I also have a 13 old son and a 12 year old daughter. My furbabies are great with my children and their friends. I keep my Maltese in long coat. So I do have to brush them twice a week. It usually takes me about 15 minutes for each one. I bath them once a week. But that is my choice. I do not like the dog smell. Not because they are dirty. To keep the hair around the eyes from turning brown, some people cut the hair. I do better with leaving it down. You just have to be patient while the hair grows. I hope this helps a little. |

| I have 1 little boy Maltese and he's an ANGEL!! He's the perfect dog! So obedient and loving all the time. I keep him in a short puppy cut and I have NEVER had any tear staining.

| I have a Maltese and she's 8 months old. She's more laid back than Zoey is. I think it's rather easy to keep them white. Her best trick is changing the channels on the tv via the remote. |

| I have a Maltese, Bichon and of course my Yorkie. The Maltese is a female and almost 11 years old. She loves everyone and is laid back, playful and so loving and cuddly. I don't keep her in the long coat, she always has it cut short. She was the queen of my house until the Yorkie pup came along, it took her a while to warm up to her, but they get along fine now. She even has relinqueshed some of her queen status to the baby lol. All I can say is that you cannot go wrong with a Maltese! They are beautiful and devoted little angels, at least all of the ones I have met.

| I have a maltese and he gets along great with my yorkie and my other dogs. He is a real cuddler, he just loves to be cuddled!! He is 6 months old and has a gorgeous coat and it is a very bright white. I don't do anything to keep him white, just give him a bath once a week like I do with the others and his coat always stays white. So for him, it is easy to keep him white, too easy, no real work involved. The only down side is that he does have tear staining though, that is the only part of him that is not white and requires daily care. But with the right care he does not have tear stains either! I highly recommend a maltese, they are true lapdogs and you fall in love with them right away!! I love having my little boy maltese and now in a few month I am going to get a female maltese!!
