| Shana why don't you get a yorkie boy? It's perfect, no shedding no allergy issues and we all know they are THE cutest

Yes penny is a shedding, snot blowing, farting machine, lol!!! I can deal with snoring as long as they arent sleeping in the same bed as me But the shedding is the hardest for me to deal with because of my asthma. Yesterday I gave penny a bath and brushed her several times throughout the day and the shedding never ends. It doesnt even seem to ever slow down

| I have owned several Chins over the years. They do shed but not that much if bushed and combed everyday and neutered or spayed. They snore a little at times but no more then my Yorkie. Chins have a great temperment but are prone to heart issues, seizures, luxating patellas, sensitive stomachs but mine have had less issues then my Yorkies. I have found that all I've owned had great temperments but all had different personalities. Two of mine were great travelers. The other two were extremely shy and stayed home. Mine were not fond of children and were all fragile. However compared to the Yorkies I've owned, low maintenance and not at all demanding. Chins tend to be easily house trained, attach themselves to a family member, love to please. Chins, as all pushed in faced dogs, don't do well in the heat. I adore this breed but as any, must research breeders carefully. Years ago they were difficult to obtain but now they are bred by puppy mills. I've owned many toy breeds over the years, Yorkies and Chins were the only breeds I've chosen to repeat. Jessica |

| I had thought I wanted a Chin before I found out about yorkies. We had even went to a pet store (I would never buy one from there) to see if they were the type of dog for our family. I know the one they brought out was very poorly breed. He was cock-eyed and he kept running into the wall. I felt so sorry for it. He looked like an alien and my son was scared of it because of it's eyes popping out and it's tongue hanging out. It really turned me off of them. I couldn't find a local breeder and there is no way I would want to end up with a poor puppy like that shipped to me from god knows where. Definately get a puppy that you can see locally! I think a good breed for you is the s**tzu. I think they look very similar, but a little bit bigger and they don't shed. My neighbor has one and she is BEAUTIFUL! And they don't shed! Their girl looks like of like this. http://image03.webshots.com/3/4/64/1...uVMRsQv_fs.jpg |

I have something similar called the "Shed Ender". Does the exact same thing and sells for a lot cheaper. You can pick 'em up on eBay for about $10. | |
