| ![]() We have a pack of 4 dogs. 2 trained outdoor guard dogs(1 female, 1 male), one indoor female toy poodle and Pooky, 13 week male Yorky. toy poodle is the oldest(Female, spayed, 2 years old) boxer is next in line, he and the poodle were lovers until he got so big.(almost 2 years old) rottweiler(13.5 months female, spayed) yorkie(13 weeks, male) So everyone was excited when Pooky came home. They all gave him the grand welcome and by evening everyone was calm and trying to play with the new member. Except the poodle. She has snubbed him. She played with him a couple of mornings but after that she's a real snoot. I'm surprised at her because she's always been so excepting of the other dogs. She's spent hours humping their heads lololol Nothing more funny than seeing a toy poodle hump a large boxer in the head....all day! She will run and barrel over him and he's fragile. I love the yorky's big dog attitude. He's going to do great with the work dogs, it's the poodle I'm wondering about. How long before I know if she'll really accept him? Maybe when he's full grown...so early adult size, in a few months? He's such a baby. Maybe it's that that bothers her or maybe she doesn't like that I bought her a boyfriend. Pet family dynamics....what do you think? Is she going to come around once he gets more her size? I'd love to see them play and sleep together in the same bed. I thought she'd enjoy having a friend in the house to play with. Last edited by pookybear; 02-12-2013 at 02:13 PM. |

| ![]() Maybe she'll come around in time. I've had Sam home for 3 weeks, and my cat is just now starting to thaw a little to him and has stopped hissing every time he gets within 10 feet of her.
