![]() After months of begging and bringing photos of cute little calico kittens home I finally conviced dh to let me have a kitten! Susie II is named after my childhood pet Susie who was also a beautiful calico. She spoiled me on ever having another colored cat! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/alb...?albumid=12499

![]() She is a beautiful cat, Lou. I used to have a cat many moons ago - she has since passed, and the husband is not much of a cat guy. I get cat fever when I see pics of such a cute cat. Congratulations on the new addition!

![]() Thanks again! You know the strangest thing.......Susie 1 had a little square notch out of her ear evidently inflicted by another cat and Susie II has a little black rectangle on her the edge of her ear that looks like a bit of her ear is missing when you first look at it. Very strange. How many cats have little rectangular shapes. aren't they mostly odd rounded patches? I toyed with the idea that Susie 1 might come back some day but kind of lost that wish over the many many years. But why did I start wanting a calico kitten again? And why did this woman tell my vet about a stray and its litter having a calico in it right after I tell my vet I want one? It is a strange world. In the meantime Susie II is really tearing up the joint. She had to start learning "NO" last night after attacking my toes and biting them. Wow! I forgot what sharp little teeth and claws they have! She announces everything too. Especially when she has to go to the litter box and then again when she is having trouble covering her spot up. I wonder if she has some vocal breed in her history somewhere! The blue is fading in her eyes and I THINK they might be turning green. I hope so. That would be so pretty! I guess I'd better stop talking about her because I am probably boring y'all to death! LOL

![]() Not boring at all! We love pet stories and especially love pics w stories! You know, I've thought those thoughts too, especially about spreading ashes. Will their "essence" return? I don't know. I'm glad to hear you have another Susie (might I add it's a great name!) to fill your days with joy. You know, my husband always says, "The more people I meet, the more I like my Yorkie!" (except YTer's)

![]() HELP!!! Susie is a little eating machine and I have no idea how much I am supposed to feed her or how often. No matter when I put her food in front of her she gobbles it down. She eats a whole can of cat food a day (split up into four feedings) and nibbles on kibble throughout the day. She eats at 6AM, 2PM, 6PM and somewhere between 11PM and 1AM. Is that too much? AND how the heck do you get a fecal sample clean enough to take to the vet?
