| I am so sorry you have been dealt another blow. It is overwhelming I am sure. Praying for Dr appt. to not be bad, and that you can deal with one thing at a time. Hugs.

| Thanks all for the concern. The triage dept at the drs office jumped the gun when my labs came back. WE (the dr and myself) KNEW that my leep would come back bad.......thats why we DID the leep in the first place. The triage dept didn't personally check with my dr and ask. They were just following office protical.....bad pap, leep or biopsy, they call and schedule an appointment. (they just changed my normal appointment from next week to immediately and did not tell me anything about my test results) My dr appologized over and over for their mistake. Even the office manager came in and talked to me too to apologize. But to make a long story short. She got the areas of concern, and the margains are OK. Just have to follow up with 6 month paps. What a relief!!!!!! I was so relieved to get the news we expected to get that I couldn't really get mad or upset at the office! Kahn is still miserable and cries almost constantly. I really am worried about HIS mental and physical health too. He won't eat but is drinking.....I know he is missing Kiah. (He goes to the spot in their kennel that she died in and lays there and literally cries. It is so darned sad.) I made him some chicken this morning, which he ate a few bites of, I was very happy to see him attempt to eat something. I am considering, in the future, fostering a large breed dog. Someone for him to be with. One that we can consider adopting if all works out well!! I cannot see Kahn die or get sick from a broken heart.

| So glad to hear things went well at the Drs. office. You have definitely had a terribly upsetting week! I hope Kahn feels better and starts eating a little more. It is so heartbreaking to hear he is lying in her spot crying for her. Maybe one of the owners of multiple dogs or one of the breeders here at YT will have some advice on how to help him with his grief. You and Kahn will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. |

| Thank goodness your Dr appt. was ok, so you can just relax a bit on that. Still so sorry about your dog passing away. I saw on your profile & pics that Kiah was a Rhodesian Ridgeback. She was so beautiful. My daughter is very very interested in getting a Rhodesian ridgeback, and since there aren't many over here, we are trying to research all about them. I'll send you a message on your profile page, and maybe we can chat, if it's not too painful for you to talk about her. And if it is, well I fully understand. It is obvious how much you love your dogs, and my heart goes out to you.

| Wow you have been through a lot the last couple of days. So sorry to hear about Kiah. I have followed several of your posts and know you talked a lot about her. She will certainly be missed. Sending prayers and hugs your way as you handle the other stress as well. So sorry.

| I think it really helps to talk about her!!!!! The first 24 hours no, but since.......very much!!!! She was such a good dog, and I LOVE to tell others how good she was. PM any time. RR are definitely not a breed for a 'first time' dog owner. VERY VERY strong willed!!!! Stubborn as the day is long!! Very much a one family dog!! Not overly great with kids, but will tolerate them. Just a few things off the top of my head! RR are not very common anywhere. They do pop up from time to time though!!Thanks all for the support. It really does help so much! Quote:

| I am so sorry for you loss and have been thinking of Kahn. We had two poodles that were literally not only liter mates but the entire liter. They had not ever been separated. One passed away recently and his brother spent days looking for him, following me around the house and generally sitting and staring at me as though to say "where is my brother?". I changed his routine up some and moved furniture around in my bedroom,so his brother's corner would look different. If they shared a crate you might consider purchasing a new crate, putting it in a different place, take Kahn for a walk and have someone remove the old crate while you are gone. I did these types of things over a period of several days. It has helped both of us considerably. Buddie still looks for his brother a little but it is getting easier to distract him and have him focus on something else. Because Bunkey's death was so sudden I feel so deeply your pain. My prayers for you will be for your families hearts to heal and that you will remember only the good memories of your precious doggie. Im glad to hear that your Drs report was more along the lines of what you expected. |
