A chihuahua, a maltese, minature dachshund, or a minature poodle. I've had a dachshund before and she was an amazing pet & lived to be 17 1/2 years old. So, I will always have a soft spot there. But my sister has two chihuahuas and they are as sweet as yorkies (ALMOST). My Son & DIL have 2 poodles and they are almost like little people! I have to admit they seem to be a little smarter than my yorkies who I always say --"That's okay, you don't have to be smart, cause your're so pretty!" ;) But maybe my DIL is just a better dog trainer or my yorkies have trained me instead of vice versa? LOL! And Maltese -- well, because they are almost like little white yorkies. So I am curious about how they compare with personalities. I wish I could have all the dogs I want. But I also want to spoil them and take the best care possible and being retired I have some financial limits too. But something tells me I am going to get at least one more yorkie before any other breed. :D |

I would get a Great Dane, German Shep, or Masift (sp) |
Biewer...just kidding another miniature schnauzer! |
Shi Tzu, Havenese, Boxer, Swiss Mountain Dog.....oh the list could go on and on and on ;) I do have my one large breed dream dog now though - Akita :D |
I don't think I could ever love another breed the way I love the Yorkie?! Don't get me wrong, I love all dogs and animals in general. It's almost like when you are expecting your second baby, and you wonder if you can love any other being as much as you love your first. Of course, you go on to figure out you obviously can. Maybe there's hope for me yet! :D For now though, it's just the Yorkie! ;) |
White Boxer and a Pit Bull :) |
There are so many breeds that I like: Small, YORKIE of course, maltese, chihuahua, poodles Large I want a Belgian Groenandel so badly.... We liv eon a farm and raise sheep, goats, horses, rabbits, chickens, and llamas.....I like herders and LGDS. We have 3 Great Pyrenees that are LGDs for the pasures. I aslo love the weimaraner breed. I have a spayed female and she the most loving girl. She loves her little sister and brother. I would take in anything that needed a home.... My husband says I need AA : ANIMALS ANONYMOUS!!! Maybe he is right, but, I will never let him know that Oh, a sheltie...they are cute..................... |
I've had several different breeds that I've either owned or fostered when I worked at a no-kill shelter .... Schipperke, Rottie/Shep mix, Australian Shep/Border Collie mix, Shih Tzu, my bf has a Cavalier/Cocker mix - nice dog but lots of issues, and of course Yorkies. I will never actively seek to own any other breed in the future - Yorkies are by far my favorite breed. That being said, I fostered an English Bulldog who was recovering from entropian surgery years ago and she was an absolute DOLL! So, if all of the yorkies in the world disappeared, I suppose I would get an English Bulldog.:animal36 |
Maltese for sure and the Biewer sure does catch my eye since it is the first time I have googled that breed. |
I have bred, shown and trained Labs, but will stick to my Yorkies because 1. I love them. 2. I am older and Big dogs need more exercise, stronger arms to bathe them etc. |
Yorkies are of course number #1, but if I couldn't have a Yorkie, biewer or parti, I'd like to have a papillion, cavalier or japanese chin. |

I'm pretty content with my German shepherd and biewer, but if I had to choose another breed, it would be a border collie. |
