| UGH People Make Me So Mad Ok, well I disagree with people I pet sit for often. Most of them feed bad quality food and the puppy parents don't believe me when I tell them they need to crate train in order to potty train. A puppy free in the house is not going to learn to be potty trained!! There is this one client that makes me so frustrated. They have two "Cockapoos." THEY ARE NOT COCKAPOOS. They are pure bred poodles, they are just not shaved the poodle way (unless the spaniel just doesn't show up at all, is that possible?? hair is DEFINITELY poodle hair). Quotes from them: "They sleep in the great room. It's really the garage but we call it the great room because people look at us funny if our dogs sleep in the garage" Glad to here you don't like your dogs, so they sleep in the hot garage in summer and cold garage in winter. "The lady we bought them from had 35 puppies when we went, she does it for a living" 35 PUPPIES?!? "They are almost 100% paper trained" Oh, that's nice. They both just peed on my floor. "They are just dogs" No, they are adorable puppies and deserve better owners than you two They came in while I was volunteering at the vet, and told the doctor "our dogs used to have a $100 limit, they cost over that and go to the pound" WTF you don't care about your pets. WHY GET THEM??? By the way, they go to the worst doctor at the vet, he over charges for everything and does unnecessary tests. Plus the dogs both got the 5 in one shot, rabies, and bordetella ALL AT THE SAME TIME. OK the finale. "yeah, my other cockapoo never needed hair cuts. It was so strange, she never shed but never got hair cuts" So you're saying, a pure bred poodle (needs hair cuts) mixed with a cocker spaniel (needs hair cuts) magically makes a dog that doesn't need hair cuts?? Well, good luck with that lady. I was going to recommend to you the best groomer in our area but if you are CERTAIN they don't need hair cuts that's fine. But you have two pure bred poodles, so they are going to need hair cuts. I can't wait until they get to the groomer and their like, these aren't Cockapoos.... What's the point of getting a dog if you aren't going to give it the best care you can give it. RESEARCH people RESEARCH. I'm done, thanks for listening.

| That is veryyy frustrating. Some people seriously just don't know. There's so many people out there completely un-educated and it's sad, really. I mean... I wouldn't be FAR as educated as I am if it wasn't for this website but I still knew the responsibilities and basics of owning a dog. Cockapoos actually CAN look like all poodles though. That's the risk you take when getting mixes. Our familys cockapoo looked more cocker than poodle but you never know. Cockapoo, Cockerpoo, Cock-A-Poo, Poodle Cocker Hybrid Here's some pics.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Frustrating i know... Cockapoos can look like poodles or cockers or they can look like anything. I've groomed a few that i thought were poodles at first but turned out to be cockapoos. I also had one that i thought was a cocker puppy but was a mix as well. on another note, i had a poodle bichon mix and when i groomed her in a poodle cut you would have thought she was a pure bred toy poodle.

| Well I guess they probably are Cockapoos, but with 35 puppies running around of different "poo" breeds I'm not sure how they kept track lol.. I'm most upset that they don't think they need walks or hair cuts. They look nothing like those pictures, but hey it's a mix so you never know. So many people do things I don't agree with in regards to caring for their animals. I can't change them all, but I can do my best to educate most of the owners of the dogs I pet sit for. Sadly, people like these are the ones who don't listen to me.
