| My little yellow lab is growing! Kasey is now five months and yesterday I found out she can easily drink out of the toilet! HELP! Anyone have any ideas on how to get her to quit that besides trying to always remember to keep the seat down? :^) (Sure don't have this problem with my yorkies! The toilet would be a swimming pool for them if they could get up and inside).

AAWWWW mommy she's thirsty!!! lol Well hun I suggest keeping the toilet seat down or the doors closed. I have to keep my bathroom doors closed because I have a doggy paper shredder! If not I'll come home to find paper all over the place. Last edited by Timmy; 08-13-2008 at 10:39 AM. | |

| must be a lab thing, mine does it too. I correct her when she does it and try (of course) to keep fresh water available to it. My in laws retriever taught her when she was a puppy -l-

| When I lived with my exboyfriend he got me in the habit of putting the seat down. Maybe put a little note on the back of the toilet to remind everyone until it becomes a habit. Me and the guy broke up 8 years ago, I still put the seat down every time!

| Rock has this habit too I think after reading all of these responses The toilet water must be a awesome treat For one it stays cold is what my vets says But i am personally grossed out after seeing my lab drink out of toilet and then he comes and gives me a kiss the only thing everyone tells me is to keep lid down I bet if my Mia the yorkie could drink out of the toilet she would too |
