Thank you. Well, the little girls don't attack him! Brea (4 lbs) does her little dance and barks at him to play but I think he is smarter than that. Jolie (Malt) teases him. She gets him up and runs around a couch and he tries to chase her but of course she is faster and by the time he gets to where she was, she is in a different spot. If it gets too rambunctious, she jumps to the back of the couch for safety. I just have to watch out that the little ones don't get stepped on. They are pretty careful now to stay away from Landon when he is walking. He is actually very protective of the girls. When someone else is holding or petting the little ones, he watches and if he sees something he doesn't like, he'll start barking at the person.

No, I don't have pics of any of the smaller ones with him. Thanks for the compliments. I got him from his breeder who shows dogs. She showed him a couple of times but he wasn't "perfect" enough for showing, so she decided to sell him. He was at least 15 pounds underweight. He had huge callouses on his elbows from lying on hard surfaces, he was on cheap food and his coat and skin showed it. I got him and had him neutered and started him on a good diet. He has gained at least 10 lbs now - his ribs and backbone aren't sticking out any more. His coat is shiny and looks great and his skin is coming along great. I'm really glad I got him away from that home. He is pampered here and never has to lie down on anything hard. His callouses are getting better with me applying stuff to them every day. He is settling down and is trusting people more. We started obedience classes so I can take him for walks and not be afraid he will bolt. He does walk very well on a leash. (at least he was taught that) He didn't even know what SIT meant when I got him. He is a sweetheart and tries to sit on my lap.

| That is so funny. My best guy friend has Dixie an albino Dane. She is all white with blue eyes. She just walks up to the couch and sits on it like we do. Her front paws are still on the floor..lol She had 13 puppies. OMG they were so freakin cute!!! But boy there was so much poop after feedings. Constant work! So was did he have a home after the people that were showing him or did the people showing him treat him so bad??? I cant believe he wasnt getting good food and care. That really stinks. He is so lucky to have you! |

No, he was still in the breeder/shower's home. Is the albino of your friends, deaf? I have seen danes (including Landon's dad) sit on the couch like that. I just crack up. It isn't very easy or comfy for them to sit like other dogs, I think that's why they do it. Landon's poops are less than half the size they were when I brought him home. He's on a better diet and the stool size is way, way smaller. What a topic. I cannot even imagine 13 Dane pups running around. That must be a full time job!! I mean, they are not SMALL pups, you know?
