Aren't you afraid he'll blow/fly away? I always wondered how they kept them outside at zoos and such with them leaving.

Merlin can't fly. He never learned.

Besides that he really loves me and wouldn't leave me for anything. I had a hard time getting him to stay on the porch so I could take these pictures. I'd take 2 hold him, set him back down take 2 more then repeat. LOL!

He almost doesn't look real he is so steady. But really good pictures. I would be scared to have him outside also.

He's beautiful! My relative had a cockatoo we all fell so in love with. But she is really needy and she would cry all day when they would leave for work. So she now lives with another relative who is retired. She doesn't go anywhere without her, she takes her in the car LOL She would never fly away either. Cockatoos really love their person

Cockatoos are really needy birds. I think they are one of the most needy birds out there. I love Merlin and he loves me. I take him every where with me. His favorite place is Sonic. I go to Sonic once a day and get a route 44 cvdp. I always order it with an extra straw. Merlin loves destorying things and straws are one of his favorites! I always give him the straw with the paper on so he has extra work. He usually has the straw destroyed by time we go the 5 blocks back home. The people at Sonic get a kick out of him going and he usually draws a crowd when we are there. I don't mind and Merlin doesn't either. He will usually tell someone that he doesn't like "I bite" . LOL! And he will too if the person persists with what ever was annoying him.
