She's very cute. I think I'm definitely going to have to get a maltese one day. I'm thinking I'll get another yorkie when I'm done with school. Then once we get past the puppy stage and I'm ready to take on another I might get a maltese and another yorkie at the same time...but we'll see. Before I got Lacy I wasn't sure if I wanted a maltese or yorkie but I had always wanted a yorkie so I decided on that. But I really want a maltese one day.

Ladymom, you need to start posting pics of Lady in all her cute dresses and bows!

I think you'll love having a Maltese. I love Yorkies too, but my Maltese is SO sweet and loving with such a carefree, fun personality. I know my Yorkies love me but I REALLY know Jolie loves me by the way she looks at me and lays on my chest (whether I'm sitting or lying down ) and gazes into my eyes.... it makes my heart melt.

How old is your little girl and how big is she?
Lady just turned twelve. She weighs about 7.5-8 pounds. She is my first Maltese so I have nothing to compare her to, but she is the sweetest, most gentle little lap dog. I had planned on getting a Yorkie, but Lady came into my life as a four year old rescue and it was love at first sight.

I still plan on getting a Yorkie next time around, but I will always have a Maltese, too.
