So happy to know that i am not the only one, went for an mri in dec bad panic attack had to come out, but found a place in Durham,NC that has a machine that is a chair it is like sitting in a closet with the door open, so i went there last week, it is the only way that i could have it done without being put to sleep..if you would like to take a look at it...Emerge Ortho/ 120 William Penn plaza Durham, NC

I am normally a calm person but for some reason when I was in that little space and my head was strapped down I just started panicking. They offered me drugs but I got up, walked around the machine and kept telling myself it was safe, that I would be safe. I think what got me through was that I closed my eyes before I went back in and I did not open them again until I was out. I did not see how small of a space I was in in so I did not freak out. Not a fun day.

I understand that, my BP went up so high they wanted to send me to ER but i knew i would be okay as soon as i left there...i had to just make myself stay in the closet last week at the new place
