I'm looking for an inexpensive puppy for my daughter. There are so many little guys out there at the rescues. It's so sad!:(

Aw, I read your post about Jerome. Poor little guy. I'm sending up prayers for him. It's so hard when they're sick. You just want to kiss them and like magic it's all gone.

I wish you'd live closer so I could get you that puppy. I can't believe they can't keep him. just because he's been chewing on the furniture, but of course nobody is there in the daytime training him, maybe is better for the pup.

She can't afford much. They're newly weds with expenses and college to pay off. Probably just a couple hundred dollars. Maybe $300. That's why I was looking at rescues. I know she can't get a purbred from here. It's just not in their budget now.

They asked me yesterday morning if I knew someone wanting a dog. I said no,because they wanted to take him to the SPCA, but I told them to take him to another organization called second chance pets where the dogs get foster parents. I got Chikis from second chance pets and Kiki the cat too.

So is she looking for a particular breed or a mix and what age range? I know you had said young, but is that like a year or younger? and what sex? boy or girl?

Hmmm. My daughter is in Austin. How far is that from Houston? She said she didn't want to drive a long way to see a dog and then not like it and have to drive all the way home again. Maybe she could get pics or talk to someone.

She would like a pup. Doesn't care about sex but maybe a girl. She knows poodles, yorkies, poms and spaniels. That's what we've had. She doesn't want a teacup cause her husband would probably squish it :eek: but something 5-15 lbs.

By a pup, I meant a little puppy around 12 weeks. but she would settle for a dog no older than 3 yrs.

I think Austin os like 4 hours away from here. Let me talk to them and see if they let me take some pictures or if they have pictures so I can send them to you. He is very cute though. Are you going to be here for a while? They live down the street I can go see them right now.

I got Tink a Beef Puff by Merrick at Animart last night. I went in to look at beds and got that and some bully sticks 'cause we're almost out. I usually get them from beyond spoiled but she's been going through them like candy and I ran out.

Anyway, this is the first puff and she is devouring it! She's acting like a ferrel (sp?) dog!:eek: It's a little spookey.

Oh, by the way, I won't be going back there. They have puppies for sale. I asked them where they get them and she said from small breeders in the area. Yeah, I know exactly who those small breeders are!:mad: :mad:

I know what you mean. The breeder I got Autumn from seemed reputable at the time that I got her...now they have over 60 dogs and litters ALL the time! They are breeding Westie's to yorkies, yorkies to poodles, and he has labs and goldens and goldendoodles and min pins and min pins mixed with poodles and one other kind of terrier....my hubby and I think he is just a small scale puppymill now and it was a heartbreaking realization. :(
