![]() This morning the thread topic is, "How long will it take Tink's Mom to shampoo the carpet?" or alternate topic "How much carpet can Tink's Mom shampoo before she collapses?" Right now, we're 45 minutes into the task, and I have filled, sprayed, vacuumed and extracted nothing. Released tank and reseated it, vacuumed and extracted a good portion of the detergent and water. Reshampood and extracted emptied the dirty resevoir. Realized I've only done the hallway and bathroom. Collapsed onto my orange chair at the computer and detailed the saga. So, next task is to rest for 10 minutes and refill the detergent tank and begin again. OK. Resting..................

![]() The continuing saga, "How long will it take Tink's Mom to shampoo the carpet?" Second rest period. Refilled the detergent tank, sprayed the area of the dining room closest to the kitchen (bad idea, now I can't go there). Extracted, refilled detergent tank, sprayed the path in front of the TV and sitting area of living room, extracted. Emptied and cleaned the dirty resevoir. Realized that Tink is shaking in her crate. Covered crate with a blanket (except front) and placed it in front of the patio window so she can see out. Collapsed onto orange chair and posted continuing saga. Resting...........

![]() The continuing saga, "How long will it take Tink's Mom to shampoo the carpet?" Third rest period. Refilled the detergent tank, sprayed and extracted the carpet under the area rug in the living room and the pathway to the front door. Resprayed and extracted the pathway to the front door. Resprayed the pathway to the front door. Let it sit while I took Tink out of her crate to potty. Put Tink back in crate. Resprayed (for the third and last time) the pathway to the front door, extracted, extracted, extracted. Emptied and cleaned the dirty reservoir. Collapsed onto orange chair to continue posting the saga. Bored yet? No further resting, back to work 'cause I'm almost done.

![]() The continuing saga, "How long will it take Tink's Mom to shampoo the carpet?" Fourth and final rest period. Moved Tinks crate to the bedroom, refilled the detergent tank, sprayed and extracted the carpet in front of the patio door, resprayed and extracted the area in front of the TV and the exercise bike. Resprayed and extracted the pathway to the kitchen and the dining room area in front of the kitchen. Removed and rinsed detergent tank. Removed and cleaned dirty reservoir. Dried everything off and laid on counter to dry. Removed brushes from cleaner, rinsed, shook dry and replaced them in the cleaner. Laid down kitchen towels on the carpet to walk to bedroom (which hasn't been shampood yet except for doorway area). Collapsed onto orange chair to complete saga. I am finished shampooing for today because I have no energy left and my head is pounding and my back is screaming. The bedroom will have to wait 'til next weekend. OK, so how long was that? I think about 3 1/4 hours including short breaks. Not too bad considering everything there is to consider. The shampooer works quite well, the brushes do a good job of picking up the carpet and the suction is good and strong, it is easy to fill and empty. It gets a good review! ![]() I'm laying down on the bed to rest for awhile and then I'm gonna find something to eat - besides pecan pie. ![]()

Let's hope she waits a day or two!!! Susie - what kind of cleaner did you end up getting (can't recall)...we really need one here. Right now I rent one from the grocery store about every 6 weeks.
