I know what you mean! We moved from a 4,000 square foot house into a 1,100 square foot condo after we gave the house to our son and his family. Talk about stuff...we had 2 auctions and a huge yard sale and still have extra stuff! I keep opening closets and drawers and thinking 'now, why did I put that there?'...oh yah...because there is nowhere else to put it! lol!

I'll get a grip on it eventually...or I'll move to a bigger house again!

You are too funny - but that's how I feel too. There is no linen closet for the bathroom and the floor plan showed one so I planned on having one. had to get creative but I'm making it work. Toay I unpacked the last box of nic nacs and everything is in it' place except for a few wall pictures that I haven;'t decided where to put.

Aunt Taffy, der ar wots of stwange fings here in Texas. Der are 5 cats in my yard and I don wike dem being der. Dey are bad cats too my mommy says. So i twy to chase dem away and dem mommy yells "No Tink, don puwl on da leash so hard!" But I hab wots of gwass to jump awond in. I'm habing a good time but I gotta stop barking so much.

Susie - how far does your daughter live from you now?

I've been in my place now for 4-1/2 months and Tinka is JUST starting to be ok being left at home. It's been rather a pain in the neck. lol. I've had to take her with me everywhere I go until about 2 weeks ago and now I still can't be gone for more than 2-3 hours. She's been more work than a baby, I think.

I don't have a place for everything I brought along, either. Luckily there is a large storage/closet in my apt and it is stuffed full. Need I say that a lot of it is dog stuff???? Can't believe I have that many dog beds... lol

Keep us posted on how things are going for you and Tink.

Well girls...the dog stuff was the easiest to figure out. I put beds in the living room and bedroom, kept 2 good blankets and the rest of it was taken to the local shelter. I took 8 dog beds, several large, new washable potty pads, blankets galore and a few fleece crate liners...not sure what else went but they sure can use them! When I go through the crates in the basement I plan to take more to them...I know I have several stainless steel dishes and more beds in those crates...and don't even ask me about harnesses and matching leashes...yep, they'll go too.

I'm planning to have a large garage sale when the weather gets nice but I will take all the pet stuff to the shelter.

Now, if I could only be as organized with 'MY' stuff...but I just can't see myself giving away my purses!

Tink is quite nervous in the new apartment. All the new sounds are making her crazy. She does not like to come into the spare bedroom where I have the computer set up - I don't know why - so she lays at the doorway and makes noises! She does like the back yard though. It's big and so there's plenty of room for her to sniff. It takes 20 minutes for her to potty because she has to smell everything! ARGH! She did have one accident in the house and it was my fault. She told me and I didn't pay attention to her. Bad mama!

I think I have too many "things" even tho I got rid of alot of stuff before I moved. I can't find a place for all my things.

Well, congrats on the move AND the weather! Tell Tink to hang in there, pretty soon her new apartment will feel like home. Bernie says when he moved here it was a new home and a new family to get used to...but now he wouldn't have it any other way.

Teri, I'm about 30 minutes from my daughter. Just about right. not too close and not too far away.

I've done some rearranging and got all my stuff put away with room to spare. Except for the blankets. I definitely have too many so I kept 4 of them and the rest went in the van and I've been giving them out at the streetcorners to the homeless this week cause it's cold down here! 23 degrees last night. Surprised me!

Yah...I'm doing o.k....just a lot going on right now. My Mom was just diagnosed with breast cancer so we've been back and forth with her for appointments and surgery. She will start chemo in 2 weeks and radiation after that. She is doing alright...me and my sisters will all take turns staying with her until she is through this and we're all spending as much time with her as we can right now.

I was also diagnosed with carpal tunnel in both arms that was causing issues and pain all the way up to my neck and shoulders. I had surgery on my right hand last Wednesday and just got the splint off yesterday. I'll have surgery on my left arm in a few weeks. So, I'll be in and out for a while...

I'll get settled here some day. I have made some new friends but I still miss my old ones.

I have to get some pics of my new place but I Signdon't know who would look at them here. We never come here anymore. Sigh again...even my pictures won't load. Sniff.
