Awww, what a roller coaster everyone is on. I'm glad that Lexie's best interests are coming first though. Did I mention, she was Ginger's first GE buddy, so I have a soft spot for her (her pic was on the fridge for a long time...til one day it fell and Miss Ginger, um, digested it)

Good morning thread! And ladies! I'll be in and out today. I'm cutting fabric and sewing skirts today. I'd like to work on the tops, but no room for error on those, so I'll wait 'til I have final (post-diet;) ) weights from the girls before I tackle those.

Hey G&M and Willow,
I just finished cutting the fabric lengths and lining for 4 dresses and cut out 2 skirts. Now my back has to have a rest and I'm thirsty.

Tink's mom - you've been quite busy. What with carpet cleaning and sewing and all, when do you find time to bake pecan pie??

I'm really impressed with anyone who can sew. If I can't iron it on, forget it!;)

Hee Hee. Had to take the day off work today so I can get myself back in order. That carpet mess Saturday set me back a spell.

So, today is sewing day. Maybe this evening I'll try shampooing the dining room again.

Hello everyone how is it going.......looks like Tink's mom is staying way too busy...........I have to find a dress for my son's wedding in June. I used to sew ALL the time.........but haven't in years. Just going to put out the money and buy one! LOL

Where did you get it? I've looked online and found some nice stuff but everytime I even think about ordering it, it is not in my size! UGH

http://www.alexevenings.com/style17010.html Here's the dress I have I gold. I got is from a bridal shop in Wisconsin But you can order on line. You just have to know what style looks good on you and what size you need. Once you have the info, you can just order it online and save quite a bit.

Thank you thank you. We do have good taste. Expensive, but good. We learned to shop sales very well so we can dress in the manner to which we would like to become accustomed ! :winky:

I loved the style and color but the "to be" dil asked me not to wear cremes or taupes, white or black. Wants me to wear pink, blue or maybe coral!!! I don't mind at all accomodating her......and taupe is really not my color. But I am going to have to go to the malls and check some out there.

Well, it's definitely gold not taupe. Does she mind gold? There are some really pretty dresses in all colors in the links I posted. check them out after you see what style you want. I spent hours and hours online after I decided what I looked good in. I don't want to look dowdy but I don't want to take anything away from my daughter either. Hmmm.:p

G&M - I found the most delicious tea at a shop yesterday.

Its Yorkshire Tea and the kind is Harrogate. It's soooo mellow. With a drop of cream, it's just lovely. I bought a tin. I hope they have more later.

That's a big seller over here... but not as big as Tetley... you should try to get some Tetley Tbags... that's the best tea!

I have Tetly - black. Yes, it's really good. Must better than most of what we have here unless you buy specialty in tins.
