I love Will & Grace, but can not stand the Karen charector. You need to slap that boy upside the head, it was a total insult! :eek:

When we were kids, like a good, huge Irish family, it seemed like there was a wake every month. We'd get dragged there and my mother and her sister would sit in the back cracking themselves up, making comments about the people there. A few months ago my brother in law's brother died, so we went to the wake. My sister Joan and I were sitting off to the side and there were some really strange people there. We started whispering comments to each other. All of a sudden, she says "OMG who have we turned into?" I said "I'll be mom, you be Aunt Teresa" We cracked up all night!

Well Teri, She is so NOT ME!!!! I didn't watch the show for long, but the part I did see, there's no way I'm letting him get away with that one. I'll be sure to dump his drink right over his head as soon as it gets to the table :eek:

It sneaks up on ya, don't it?

My personal opinion on wakes.....it's a party on the one day the guest of honor is unable to attend.

I liked Will and Grace when Karen was her employee....not a dang best friend...it bugs me. I think it's time for that show to go...the laughs come less and less frequently.

And I never quite understood what was so funny about alcoholism or pill poppin'. I can't imagine what AA or NA think of Karen....but she isn't funny...

Wish granted, I think there is only 2 more after tonights.
I used to love it, but haven't seen it in ages,not funny, I agree, they are done.. I watch the old re-runs more often.

Yeah, I know...like Seinfeld....Seinfeld just got stupid....Friends got stupid too. Some of those shows that were on for 10 years...it was about 4 years too long :rolleyes:

My all time favorite show was Everybody Loves Raymond. I think it's one of the few that got the timing right. It was still funny when it ended, and it left us wanting more.

because it's not going to be party if I don't. Wakes just are not for me, everyone sitting around getting drunk, wishing their loved one was still with them. You can always find me in the back of the room in tears.

There is this song from Wicked that I just love about how I became a better person because I knew you. We were listening to it and I said "that would be such a beautiful song to play at a funeral". Megan freaked out! I was like, I'm just saying it, I didn't say I was dying tomorrow. Of course, son says "No, at your funeral they'll play "No one mourns the Wicked". Me and Rodney Dangerfield, we get no respect.

LOL!!! I'm glad I won't be hearing the song they play at mine,

Today is my baby's 15th b'day :bigbdaypa
I fixed him breakfast in bed and Bonnie wore her Happy Birthday hat. I think you can tell by the pictures that they both thought it was a little too early for a party!!

I can't believe he is 15 :( How is it that my kids keep getting older, but I don't??? :rolleyes:

Thanks. I'm pretty sure he'll have a good day :rolleyes: that boy will tell everyone it is his b'day and he will celebrate big time (just hope he doesn't get in trouble at school :) ) He has a ballgame tonight, so we are taking him and a group of his friends out tomorrow night.

He is eligible for his driver's permit today, but I'm a bad Mom and I haven't gone to the DMV to get the book so he can study for the test. I'll probably go get it today and he'll take the written test next week. Then before he is eligible for his Driver's License, he will have to take Driver's Ed, which here is done by private companies. I think the Tech college here has a class, but there is such a waiting list, we just do the private lessons! Oh Lord...can't believe he will be driving....watch out world :eek:

Wow I couldn't imagine my kids driving at 15, You have to be 16 to get a permit here and at 17 your get a provisional drivers lic and 18 you get your regular lic. :car: :car: :car: :car:

I am never taking anyone out for admin again. On the way there a truck driving along side of me kicked up a Boulder (well an extremly large rock) right into my windshield an broke it. Now I have a huge :moon: and have to wait until Monday to have it fixed. :mad:

Wow...my kids definitely would not have liked that!! Here you can get your provisional dl at 15, it just has to be 6 months after you get your permit, but we didn't let our boys do that, they had to wait until they were 16. I wouldn't like it either, cause once you have one that drives, it sure helps a lot!! :car:
