We go down the shore every year to get one of those orange and vanilla soft cones. They don't have them anywhere around here. I think I may have to buy an ice cream maker.

If I'm eating ice cream...I'm leaving the fat in. Gonna pull out the freezer and see if I remember how to use it. We've only made ice cream maybe twice in it, but the kids think it's way cool. I love dreamcicles...won't tell the kids I didn't make it for them.

Yumm that orange/pineapple icecream sound great, I'll try it.
Here is the Pineapple walnut cake~

2 eggs
2 C flour
2 C sugar
2 tsp baking soda
15 oz can crushed pineapple w/ juice
1 tsp vanilla
1 C crushed walnuts, save 1/4 cup for the top.

Hand mix all above together, spread batter on greased cookie sheet
bake at 350 for 25 mins

Icing- 8oz cream cheese 1 stick butter 1tsp vanilla 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
blend and spread over warm cake, sprinkle with walnuts

The ice cream is good and if you don't like pineapple, you can leave it out. We have also used peach soda and used fresh peaches, and strawberry soda and fresh strawberries...it is all good!

YUM, those all sound good, Love Peach.. What size can pineapple bigger than the 15 oz?

Speaking of peaches, another one of my fav's since I have my recipe book here..

Peaches and cream cake.

1 1/2 c flour

1 tsp salt
2 -3 oz instant pudding (vanilla)
6- tbsp. soft butter
1 Cup milk
2 eggs
Mix all ingredients and spread in greased 9x13 pan

Drain 2 -15 oz can sliced peaches in heavy syrup (save syrup) pour peaches on cake.
Take 6 tablespoons juice , 1 cup sugar , 2-8oz cr cheese, and beat, pour mixture over peaches , keep 1" from the edge.
Mix 2 tbls sugar, 1 tbls cinnamon, sprinkle on top.
Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes , don't overbake, best when warm.

Oh gosh...when we were kids my parents would make peach ice cream with the ice creamer you had to crank. That stuff was heaven. When we got this ice cream maker, I looked for a peach ice cream recipe....never found one. Who makes the peach soda? I don't think I've ever seen peach soda? Thanks btw.

Can I have the other one? This cake might put my hubby in a diabetic coma! Nah, he'll get over it!!! Bless his heart...we are watching our fats...so when you go sugar free and fat free...well there is just not anything good left to eat!!! You have to cheat sometimes.

Sunkist makes and peach soda and Nehi makes one. It is really good and no raw eggs! Dewaine runs our ice cream freezer for 20 to 30 minutes then he packs it with ice and lets it ripen for about an hour...be sure to use rock salt...this speeds up the process. Cover it with a towel while it is ripening! Then enjoy...we have a saying around here that I think Dewaine's Mamaw coined - "It is so good your tongue will slap your eyeballs out!" That is how good this stuff is!!! And it is so easy!

Just reading it is making me slap my eyeballs out. I remember the rock salt...that's about it though...oh, and plug it in.
