No actually I didn't. I don't use the phrase...for pete's sake nor dang in "real" life to much...those are family forum appropriate terms....but I do use the phrase Geez, Louise. So I'm sitting here thinking.....geez, Louise what's her dang name if I use it all the time As kids we were NOT allowed to use the Lord's name in vain....my mother's rule....but geez, Louise was okey dokey

I have a "real" life friend named Louise....

My mother wanted to name me Mercedes pronounced Mer A dees... and call me Dee Dee. My father said hell no, we aint naming her that. So I'm named for Debbie Reynolds (like all us 40 plus year olds) and my middle name was Paige for Patty Paige.

PS Guess I can't be my OWN prize patrol....

Oh sure...you couldn't use the Lord's name in vain...but you could use MINE! Fine! The only good thing about having a name like that is there wasn't anybody else in my school that was called Louise...I knew some that had it as a middle name, but not the name they went by. It was my middle name also, but I unfortunately went by that name!! I was named after a good friend of my parents.

What immediately comes to mind is..... this is my brother Darrell, and this is my other brother Darrell...I hate to break out this smiley on ya .....but I gotta LL, you understand That has got to be the funniest thing I've heard in a long time.....

There were 10 thousand Debbies back in the day....I never ever went by Debbie...I was just Deb I don't correct people who call me Debbie, but my friends do Only three people use or used in mom's case... my real name, Debra....my mother, my older brother, and my husband.

No Silly...you almost had me confused ...I went by my middle name which is Louise...I have a different first name...want to try guessing that one to...I didn't like it very much either, but it was probably better than Louise???? Yes she was a very good friend...when my parents married they didn't have any family in the town they lived in and this lady and her husband were like 2nd parents to them and grandparents to my brother and I.

Well, when you are a little girl, and the only other people with the name Louise are all Grandmothers, and all the other little girls had pretty names like Cindy, Julie, and Gina . I wanted a pretty name like they all had! Louise is an old person's name...unfortunately I am growing into it
