LadyBug Story (for Deb) Ok here goes: Get out your kleenex. :ladybug: :ladybug: :ladybug: My grandmother was a collector of ladybugs. There were everywhere in her house and growing up I specifically remember these four little ladybug magnents on her fridge. I loved them and that was the highlight of going to my grandmother's. She also had this ugly baby sh!t green tape dispenser that had hand painted ladybugs on it. It was ugly but it was so my grandmother. All of my grandmother's friends called her "BUG". She was all of 4'9" and about 70 lbs. When my cousin had her first child and he was old enough to speak he couldn't say great grandma so she requested that he call her "GG Bug" so it stuck, all of my grandmother's great grandkids called her "GG Bug" (she passed on before my kids ever met her) When my grandmother was spending her last days in the hospital hooked up to all sorts of machines the weirdest thing happened. She had a little red ladybug sitting on her pillow. It stayed there for 3 straight days, and the day she finally died we all watched it fly from her pillow. (wiping tears)........On that day we all said that my grandmother was reincarnated as a ladybug. A week later my ex-husband and my house was infested in ladybugs. Hundreds of them all over, we couldn't figure out what on earth. My EH started batting at them and I yelled "NO" it's my grandmother trying to tell us something. They were there for a week, I don't know why but they were. The day I found out I was pregnant, I left the doctors office and there on my hand flew a ladybug. I knew my grandmother was there for my special day. The day I gave birth to my second child, a ladybug was on her in her carseat when we brought her home. The day I got married, to my now husband, in the dead of winter (12/26/05) a ladybug flew into my room where I got ready and stayed on my dresser. My family has many more stories like this, all of them different but everytime a special or sad event happen in our lives my grandmother ("BUG") is there with us to share. I have a ladybug tattoo on my big toe and wear a ladybug bracelet everyday in memory of my grandmother. :ladybug: :ladybug: :ladybug: Ok enough crying for me today......I'm off to go graduate, and then maybe a few more tears. I hope you enjoyed my story Deb. |

Oh for cracking ice, go to hit submit and they pop up... |
Awww, what a great ladybug story. And I believe in hocus pocus....they are indeed signs from GG bug :ladybug: Just think GG bug was letting you know that I, Deb, get the :ladybug: stamp of approval. ;) That's why she had me send you one. :) A friend has a similar experience. While she was pregnant, her grandmother told her long before anyone would know....it's a girl. Her grandmother passed away before the child's birth. On the day Heather came home....a rose bush that never bloomed...was full of pink roses. A few weeks later, Heather was missing her grandmother and a vine that blooms only white flowers....contained ONE pink one. On her dd's birthday...there in a container of white petunias....was ONE pink one. So her grandma sends her pink flowers. PS Grandma's love ya best, ya know. PPSS I have dozens of ladybugs in my flowerbeds....not just the real ones. :) |
Everyone is probably gone home by now. took a while to read the posts I missed. Sorry all, we are having problems at the high school with my son being picked on. I'm so furious, I've been there to talk to the principal, I've talked to teachers, I've talked to parents. I don't know what else to do. My son is big, at 15 he is 6 feet tall and 235 pounds. I've raised him to be gentle because he could really hurt someone. He's just ignored the taunting and name calling all year. I kept telling he principal that even Kevin has a boiling point. How long should he just "walk away". Well one of the kids started in on him in class today and said some things about me, which Kevin would not repeat. Anyway, Kevin took a swing, so he got kicked out of class. I'VE HAD IT. I understand, and I've told him all along, the minute you take a swing you are as bad as they are. But, really, I don't blame him. I would have been in jail months ago if I had been harrassed the way he is. I just don't know what to do for him anymore. It's been a very stressful day. I did notice no one missed me. Love you guys, too!:p I was going to post my thoughts but I read so many posts I don't even remember what everyone was talking about anymore..... |

Sorry to hear about all this going on with your son. It's hard to teach them how to behave properly when I am sure you wanted to punch the kid out yourself. I hope all is fixed and nothing happened to Kevin. He doesn't deserve to get into trouble when he has been trying to handle the situation like an adult and that didn't work. Mac's buddy gift came today. He got some really great gifts. |

Hey, I wasn't here because i've been sick, but if I was here I would have missed ya!:) :) :) Now about Kevin, Do I need to come out there and put a few kids in their place? Some kids can be so mean, Give Kevin a hug, and tell him to hang in there. I hope the school will help, if not go to the school board! Take care! :2hearts2: :2hearts2: :2hearts2: |
