| Can't think of a worse commentary on the demolition company the developers hired to take the old building down. Now they're using a tiny little wrecking ball and occas. drill to swat at it square foot at a time! At this rate unless they use other tactics soon, The Leaning Tower of Dallas, momentary Twitter star with its own account and hashtag, will be there a while yet. Don't know what it is about construction and demolition projects that can attract so many lookers-on. Wherever they are busy working building downtown, there are always people standing and watching! https://www.wfaa.com/video/weather/l...-2/287-1661278

| = Dang it! Never thought of that! THAT'S the answer. At least the remains will stay unearthed for a while longer at this rate.

Popular sentiment seems to be for our little tower to resist and stand on while developers who want it long gone sweat! Last night an advertiser even projected a giant ad off it once it got dark! Can't be long B4 another ad appears there. It would e fitting if they find Hoffa or some other surprise under it when all the clean-up is over after all the attention this location is getting.

After taking the day off yesterday due to gusty winds in the area, looks like demolition work has resumed today on the leaning tower. Wonder if the same crowd interest will return after a whole day off?

| Local news coverage during newscasts still showing lookers-on but the livestreams now aren't being manually operated for different views, close-ups and shots of the crowd as they had at first. Weather really warming up and the raw wind gone so I expect this weekend, even if they aren't working, the fans and artists and people with pets and kids looking for some different weekend activity will return. Yesterday there was a shot on local news of a painter working on a canvas so the interest is still there. Noticed this morning's live cams all seem to be stationary views. Last night there was another projection ad on the side of the building! Any more snow in your area or is it all gone? I envy you that 1" of snow. It's been a while for us and I miss it. When we traveled a lot, we'd just fly to it and I loved the fun we had in it. How much snow do you all usually get each year?

| Not much snow up here at all thanks to climate change. We might have got one snow of 6 inches it didn’t last too long though. Much like when Dallas does get snow gone the next day.

| Yeah, a tiny bit of snow can shut freeways down here with traffic but thankfully it's all gone next day and usually w/in 2 days it's in 60;s or higher. It's been so long since we had real snow on the ground can barely remember it. I just remember Tibbe always came in with his coat encrusted in ice bits that froze together if you couldn't get him cleaned off ASAP. He always loved cold-weather.

| I'm a big fan of winter weather myself but kinda get Dexter's point on some of those cold, raw days when you have to go out but know you're going to freeze! Looks like somebody is trying to display a huge American flag in the empty field where most of the crowd gathers across from "The Leaning Tower of Dallas". What else could it be? Still, this is the oddest display I've seen of the flag in a long time! https://krld.radio.com/articles/news...ower-of-dallas https://www.wfaa.com/video/weather/l...-2/287-1661278
