I confess from what her dr told her...it comes from the same virus as the chicken pox and infects the nerves coming from the spine. It is unbearable pain, from what I have seen my mom go through. Oh my I will not tell Mom about your SIL having them for 3 years. She is about at the end of her rope after 3 weeks.

My neighbor has had them for five years...and they are in his eyes now. He says it is almost all he can do to keep his chin up. I think it depends on the person. Is there not a vaccine now?

I confess there is a vaccine now and my mom sure does wish she had gotten one.

Shingles... I believe you can get a vaccine for them now at a reasonable cost at the health department, if you are 60 years or older. I think they do clinics for anyone interested, or at least that is what I have been told.

Anyway, I confess that I am tired of all these storms in Kentucky today.
