Actually that is how I sounded it out. I think it's mexican spanish? Someone out there correct me if I'm wrong.

Yorkie is the only one of my dogs that showed up on my list. I also have a Jack Russell and a Dachshund. Yorkies are my favorite breed though. Our Jack Russell THINKS she is a yorkie!

She tries to act like a tiny lap dog and she is getting to be a pretty big girl so it is hilarious!

I found it funny that Maltese wound up second on my list. That was my second choice when I was trying to decide on a breed with Yorkie winning first choice! I don't even know what number 7 is -- never heard of it, but then I don't know how it would sound if someone said it! LOL! EDIT TO ADD -- I guess I should have read all the way through -- now I know how it is supposed to sound, but still had not heard of it before. I learn some interesting things on this forum!
