Can't. Would have to get hubby one. He'd get killed within a week. He's one of those drivers that will cross three lanes to exit while I've been telling him for a half a mile that his exit is coming up on the right. Can't park the truck without pulling in and out several times. Hits the curb on every turn. Brakes with his left foot. Drives in the left lane and won't get over. I always assumed I would die in a car crash or shot by an enraged driver. I never expected to make it to 40 much less my mid-fifties.

He'd cause me to crash. I know he would. It's safer to go down to Hill Country and ride with my friend.

Yes. He doesn't realize that he is a horrible driver, but he does realize that he isn't the best out there.

The constant honking and finger waving finally gave him a clue in his old age. When he was younger he had no idea that he was a bad driver. Even though he could never figure out where the middle of the lane was, he still didn't know. He would hear the badum-badum-badum of the city titties, then move over just a bit until he didn't hear them anymore... that's how he would judge where to be in the lane. Still does. We have a camping trailer that I have to back as he just can't do it. High IQ, but backing a trailer or pulling into a parking spot with a truck is beyond him. What blows my mind is that he is an excellent pool player. If he can do the geometry for pool, why can't he do it for a vehicle? He's an engineer for goodness sake. Oh... he can parallel park though. I have never understood how one can parallel park well, but can't pull into a regular parking spot. It's a similar premise. Knowing when to turn the wheel, but just once instead of twice. Love him dearly. Just one of his many foibles that have driven me crazy for years that I find endearing now. LOL He's a sweetheart. Just don't get in the car with him if you have high blood pressure. Thankfully mine is ridiculously low or I would have had a stroke long before now. Winning because I'm still alive and kicking!

I do as much as I can, but the male ego is a fragile thing. One must tread carefully in that minefield.
