| ![]() I just read, we had the wettest July and August ever recorded here. We had a couple of rains that gave us 12 inches total. It's unusual to be mowing green grass this time of year unless, you water it daily. Should this weather hold out, I'll keep my pool open two or three weeks until I close it. I think, I'm going to keep it open cause my lil boy likes sitting out here with me

| ![]() What's you average rain fall there? I looked for Illinois and came up with this Average yearly precipitation for Illinois varies from just 48 inches (1,200 mm) at the southern tip to 35 inches (890 mm) in the northern portion of the state. Normal annual snowfall exceeds 38 inches (970 mm) in Chicago, while the southern portion of the state normally receives less than 14 inches (360 mm).

| ![]() "With an average annual rainfall of 37.41 inches, the state of Washington gets 1.8 less inches of rain than the national average (39.17 inches) Seattle has had an average rainfall of 36.15 inches over the last 30 years, which is 3.02 inches fewer than the average nationwide, and 1.26 inches more than the average in Washington." It's just spread out over a longer period of time.... misty drizzly like is why we had a bad rep for so long.. and gray winters |

| ![]() Whoa! 9,000' below the top>>> The Paradise area at Mount Rainier, located at an elevation of 5,400 feet, is known for its snowfall. Paradise once held the world record for measured snowfall in single year: 1,122 inches , or 93.5 feet (28.5 meters), of snow fell at Paradise over the winter of 1971-72. |
