That sounds so good i love wild mushrooms and H & C sandwich are my fav

I used to go mushroom hunting with a couple of friends but that was a few years back one has passed on now so we never went again

Know the feeling when someone passes... Deer hunting wasn't the same after dad passed... it's not that we hunted together, it was that he seemed the most appreciative or congratulatory every year. He filled my head with the stories when I was young, I did the same to him later when he quit hunting.

Mark memories are so precious, both my parents have been gone for a while but there has been many times when i wanted to ask them about something it really takes some getting use to, i guess that's called life and we deal with it

Yep, occasionally a question comes to mind.... dad passed early, 56 yo, Sept 1993.... mom just 2 years ago but she lived a couple states away.

Anyhoo! I'd encourage anyone who used to enjoy mushroom hunting once before to looking into going again.... There are so many resources and references now, lots of groups, easier ways to meet people with similar interests.... My dogs love it too! If it's the memories of people who have passed, think of them smiling as you remember them. They'd like to see us happy doing the things we do.

Unless, you hunt on state ground here, there isn't anyway someone will let you on their ground to hunt mushrooms here. That and let you fish on their ponds or deer hunt. Not sure if it's over liability or keeping it for themselves and family.
