Welcome to the newbie. Unfortunately, you can't win until you get an avatar. New rule I just made up.

THE TRICKY PART is you're only allowed a 75 pixel avatar, so you have to shrink your photo first in picture editing software.

Then:

Click on User CP (control panel) at top left of screen.

Click on Edit Avatar in left column, third section down

Browse until you find the picture you want on your desktop, then upload.

In the meantime, I win.
