Lol The 6 mile ride to it on a single lane winding road can be intimidating I know several guys that took this ride but I don't kno Details |
THAT looks to be a fun ride! |
I'm getting too old for that ;) |
Man we just got put in a blizzard watch they are saying 6 to 18 inches and winds gusting to 45. It's 62 right now. It's hard to win with that forecast :( |
Small is 6 inches tall and Large is 19 inches at the Dairy Queen? j/k That would be tornado weather here to go from warm to that cold if the jet stream is going through. Be careful! |

Well... All three were/are on my mother's side of the family. I'll leave it at that. ;) |

Same here. I did some incredibly stupid things in my youth. I look back on it and cringe. If my kids did just a fraction of some of it, I would have had a heart attack already. Thankfully, I had kids that are much smarter. |
Same here except for my youngest son. He came back from Afghanistan and he was a mess :( |
I'm sorry. Everyone I know that has come back from there has had a hard go of it. Hopefully, it will get better with time. :( |
Picking up body parts does that to you :( |
Yes it does. I certainly wouldn't be able to do it and retain any form of sanity after just a few hours. God bless him. |
He had a real bad drinking problem for several years Mad at the world |
One of my dearest friends did 4 tours in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan. He became an alcoholic. Lost his wife and family, moved to another state. Finally, after 6 years he quit drinking. He's doing much better now. Has a new girlfriend that he plans to marry. I think it just takes time, and unfortunately, a lot of it. Lots of healing that has to happen. |
My oldest son served during in the Iraq war first then my younger son went. I went two years of not sleeping very well |
I salute you. Honestly, I don't know how you slept at all. I think I would have lost my mind. I can't imagine how one gets through the night knowing one's son is over there in such peril. |
Hope we don't get involved in something else!! Trying to get concert tix or see if I can get tickets at the door for Alan Parson https://youtu.be/zhRzORqNa0E |
Those who serve our country are under appreciated |
Going to MO to see him? I was crazy for Alan Parsons Project back in the day. |
Sadly, yes they are, maxdog. It is a disgrace. |

Your sons have done a great thing for us.. I agree it has to be so hard on them and the families. Glad he is in a better place and happy now. We have been put in a blizzard warning. Saying. 12 to 18 inches this morning. I will have a lot of time to win. By tomorrow we won't be doing anything. I hate to see this nice weather leave. But hey it's almost March it won't be around to long. (I hope) |
High of 86 today. Winning! |
Now that the early birds are done posting The winner bird is here |
7-11 proclaimed me the winner yesterday. Yesterday evening, I realized I had left my bank card in the reader early that morning, ran up there to get it. When the employee found it, he held my card up and yelled, "Winner!" When we got outside, my son said, "Winner. Winner. Chicken Dinner." So we had chicken for dinner. From winning yesterday, I surmise that *I* am the winner. Your attempts to take it from me are futile. |
I thought you had winning powerball numbers |
