OMG, I'm dumbfounded! QS banned by the rules -- with attitude! I simply can't punish such improved behavior, so I will pull an old rule out of the books and reinstate Stacy. She doesn't deserve reinstatement, but what better way to infuriate QS?

I ban QS for A) Not banning anyone; B) Not reinstating anyone; and C) Not realizing that reinstatement of the person two people above you is in the rules. Of course, you'd have to wade through the majority of 1,258 pages to find it.

One week, in an attempt to find a way to be nice on the banning thread, the King decreed that everyone could either ban the person above you or reinstate the person who had just been banned. It didn't work very well, because the most active posters of the time -- unaffectionately known as The Bansy Twins -- couldn't figure out the simple rules.

But the reinstatement clause remains.

It was very cool. The instructor has actually trained dogs for scenting competitions on a national level! I didn't think we did that well, but she said Thor was very good at it, and definitely more talented than every single dog in Alaska.

I ban QS for taking a class from an obvious quack. Eddie's so good, he perked up just as the box was laid down in front of Thor.

Awesome. It starts kinda slow, but once they catch on that it's a game, they get good real fast. I use shoe boxes for practice at home. If you're like my wife, you probably go through hundreds of those.

I ban Mike for having a good idea. The "food box" was a small box from Amazon, and for Thor it was laid on the side - but the flap on the top kind of freaked him out. A shoe box might be a little easier for him.

In all seriousness, the instructor said he had excellent drive for such a small dog. Oh, and that he was better than all dogs in Alaska. I'm not kidding, she really said that! I wouldn't make up something like that when it would so obviously destroy you.

I ban QS for having a dog that's afraid of a box! Yes, Eddie is too, but this is my ban and I can say what I want. He's getting better at it.

Your instructor is obviously a quack, and I want her name and address so I can file formal charges of defamation. Moreso, we'll see you and 'fraidy cat Thor in the national finals next year -- if Thor can make it.
