Here's a few quick tips. The C pattern should line up at the seams and also a signature coach purse will NOT have signature lining. The lining in that purse should be tan silk/satin. Finally, you should be able to read every word in the creed on the tag inside the purse.

If that purse is on ebay, ask for more pictures.

wow -l- I never knew there was so much to know about purses.

I recently went to a "purse party". I'd never been to one before and I've never really had any interests in the designer names. But I did find one I like and it's a Prada. I don't know if it's real or not. But I figure it's like cubic ziconia, the only ones who know that it's fake are the ones who own the real thing.

purse parties are about knockoff bags they are not authentic and if you were told that then whoever said it lied.

Among the fakes, fake Prada and fake LV are the easiest to spot! Prada bags are known for their absolutly flawless construction! The second you see the triangle on the front you will know if it is fake or not...A Prada is fake if the triangle is glued on or attached with little metal prongs. It should be attached to a piece of leather that is sewn onto the bag (for the most part but some prada sport & tessuto bags they are directly on the fabric).The interior of the bags have a silky satin like lining with PRADA writing in stitching spaced exactly 3/4" apart. Some seams are stitched inside out..time consuming and clearly the mark of good craftsmanship. The triangle is ALWAYS perfectly square and the printing on the triangle in clear and sharp. Inside the bag you will also find an enameled plate that says PRADA MADE IN ITALY all in capital letters and behind that a small quality control number.

ah.. cool!!! I am so afraid to buy from anywhere except the coach store.. some of the 'authentic' ones (that are fakes) they want like $200 for !!! Id be suuupperrrr pissed if I paid $200 for a fake!

I'd say..if you wanted to look on eBay you look for a couple things: high positive feedback from a person that has sold Coach before, and a lot of close up pictures. It's easier to authenticate then.

It looks real to me, but to be positive I'd need either closer pictures or some more detail. Coach has absolutely made those styles, they are slightly older about 1 year.

Do they say the style number?

Also if you notice on this one:

They zipper is on a "pull-tab" thing comming out of the bag. Coach NEVER does this with ANY zippers!!!!! If you ever see a zipper like that it is a sure sign that it is a FAKE!

I worked at Coach for about 3+ years. We constantly had people comming in with bags they bought on ebay, wanting to know if they are real or not. If you ever do buy something offline and are concerned about it, don't hessitate to go into your local Coach store they should be more than happy to help you out.
