My DH wears "Dailies" contacts, which means he wears one pair per day, and then throws them out (was prone to eye infections a few years back, so his doctor recommended these), anyway, he can't see a thing without them, so he takes them out RIGHT before bed, which means there is a small pile of little shiny, dried up contacts on the nightstand every morning  Sometimes they will fall on the floor, and get stuck to my feet-YUCK! He also has male-refrigerator-blindness as someone else mentioned. :p And, he has a habit with cups, though different from others: I get out a cup/glass, and pour water in it, and take a few sips. I put it down somewhere for a few minutes, with the intent of coming back to it-but when I do, it's GONE...I later find it, and he's picked it up and claimed it as HIS glass, drinking the rest of my beverage, and possibly refilled it with something else! I must go through at least 3 glasses each day this way, but I guess it saves on dishes! ;) |
Mine keeps asking "Where's the ______?". If he would put things back where he got it from, he wouldn't have to ask... Men... Oh and my other HUGE pet peeve - I buy 2 pints of icecream for him, 1 pint for me (different flavor). I don't eat all of it in one sitting like him. So a few days later, I go to the freezer for more, the carton is still there, I pick it up and there is only one or two spoonful left - UGH! |

Yes, I think it is safe to say that the ice cream thing is a universal bone of contention! Our ice cream situation is this: Say we have two pints of ice cream. Of course, he wolfs his down in one sitting like previously mentioned, ad I'll eat1/3 or 1/2 of mine. If I don't go back to it and eat it the next day, that, to him, means that I have relinquished claim on it (you left it on the prairie--he will really say this too) and he helps himself to it. This happens with anything...candy bars... If I buy us snickers bars, and I give him one, and I don't eat mine, and it goes another day not being eaten, he will eat it. Okay...one more...I swear, only one more... :p How about cereal ladies? Does your man come home from work and stick his hand in the cereal box and start eating handfuls of it? Hey! Leave that alone, I tell him. It is for the kids' breakfast, and cereal is too expensive to be his little snack! (This is a funny thread...My aunt and I play this game called "my husband is dumber than yours" :D ) |

Oh I tell him quite frequently I don't see how he puts up with my moody self:rolleyes: |
The socks, the dishes, the ice cream, the selective hearing (huh?)... all so true!!! My BIGGEST complaint is that we moved into our townhouse 3 years ago and we can't park 2 cars in our 2 car garage because his crap is in the way and he won't sort through it. 75% of it is trash, but I can't just throw it out because some of it is stuff he says he wants to save. UGH. Same with the closet in our 2nd bedroom (and we only have two!) It would take one Saturday of not going out to breakfast, not playing Wii, not renting a movie.... I'd rather read a book than do laundry, but it gets done doesn't it? I even have asked for a clean garage & closet for my birthday, anniversaries... :thumbdown By the way it's not good enough to just pile it to the sky in the corner, wedge the car in there, and say "look you can park in here are you happy" But of course, you all already knew that. |
I have to get in on this. My biggest complaint...he talks to much. :D If he tries to tell you a story he tells you five others before he gets to the end of his first story. To much detail!! I loose focus after listening for 1min because I know its gonna be many many more minutes until I can say anything. :( Then by the time he gets done I forgot what I wanted to say. Or I unintentionally interupt which really pisses him off!  :D Chris |
