Tattoos on people 3 Attachment(s) I know that alot of us here and a few tatoos so I thought that it would be interesting to see who has what. Here is the one that I have on my lower back. I have decided not to get it colored in just yet, One because of the pain and 2 because I really like it like it is. The little dragon is just above my ankle. I grew up a biker kid. My dad used to belong to the CC Rider biker club and his road name was dragon. So growing up I was nicknamed the Dragons Gift. Hence the dragon. The little daisy I have is just above my pants line right above my hip bone. The pic was taken right after I got it so it really looks fresh and clean. I also have a fairy on the back of my neck, a shooting star on my right foot, and little puppy foot prints across my left foot. Just thought that I would share. I am really into body art and would like to see what others have. |
Oh and I also have a little bird to the right of my belly button. You can see part of the wings in the pic of the one on my lower back. |
Mine 1 Attachment(s) Here is a pic of mine its a unicorn on top of a tiger lily its on my right calf i am going to get a fairy on my left calf sometime this summer |
Wow, those you have are well done! My husband isn't a fan of tats....so I don't have any, though I think they're neat if they're not overdone - and/or cheaply done. You know what I mean. I do have my belly pierced as well as five holes in my ears (two on each lobe, and left cartlidge...which hurt far more than getting my belly pierced, lol). I still debate getting my nose pierced...but I'm not sure how that woudl affect my career (but I'm considering it still). |
I have my nose pierces as well as my belly button and ears. My nose piercing didnt hurt at all really. Just a little pinch and that was it. |
I also have my tongue pierced and just got my ears pierced for the first time ever...ya know the ears hurt worse than the tongue lol |
OK i'm waaaay too afraid of needles to get anymore done then what i already ahve. i got my ears pierced when i was 2 and if it wasn't when i was a baby i would never have it done thats all for me lol. |
Believe it or not I am terrified of the needles at the doctors office but I dont mind tattoo needles (it doesn't show does it LOL) |
When I was in the Air Force I got Mickey Mouse on my ankle. Several years later I became very self conscious of it and began the process of having it removed. I was very poor in my early twenties and had to save for the next precedure. During that time, the plastic surgeon died. So now I have part of a Mickey Mouse on my ankle. |
2 Attachment(s) oh my god!!!!! those are some really nice tats! i have one on my lower back of a island plumeria and i must say it hurt like hell! i am planing on getting another one on the back of my neck of a island turtle. here's a pic of mine not a very good picture but i will try to take a better one. |
I have a butterfly on my upper butt/lower back area. |
I wish I had pictures! I have quite a few! I have a peace sign on the inside of my right ankle, the Japanese words for Faith, Hope and Love on top of my left foot, the Japanese word for Karma on my right forearm, an Indian piece on my stomach that my grandmother painted 40 years ago on a painting, an open flower on my lower back, and a drawing I did on my upperback of a blooming flower! All black work! It sounds like a lot yet they are discreet and I cover them at work and in appropriate situations (I have a lot of issues with this but it is society). However they give me good discussion issues when I teach perception, stereotyping and nonverbal communication ;) |
ReconsMomma your back piece is beautiful! I would leave it as is!!! |
1 Attachment(s) Here's mine, it's on my left, front of shoulder. |
No tattoos, I am scared I'd end up hating it and would be stuck with it. But if I ever found something that I loved loved loved I would consider it in a heart beat. Quote:
And I have had my nose peirced! I loved it. I wish I wouldn't have taken it out. And it really didn't hurt at all, like I thought it would. |

Since I was over 30 when I got both of my tattoo's I put a lot of thought behind it before I did it. I mean it was bad enough the way it was that my mother thought I was going through my second childhood...but that's a whole nother story! I have a sea shell on my left shoulder the reasoning behind it is my name is Shelly and my Dad and closest friends call me Shell. Then I have a purple 4 leaf clover with a little frog head in the middle right above my right ankle. The dearest person to me in my life was my grandmother she was irish and hers and my favorite color is purple so it just fit. I added the frog because the artist thought that it would add character and it did. I don't regret getting either of them and if and when I can figure something else out I will get another one in a heartbeat. |
I have one-- but its faded really bad and need to have it redone in the (hopefully) near future!! You may think its a bit cheesy but oh well-- I love it!!! I have a red heart with a pink rose going thru it and its on my BIG toe!!! I got it 10 yrs ago so.. it has faded alot!!! I absolutely love hearts and roses which is why my wedding was alll roses and hearts all over!!!! And if I were brave enough-- I would love 1 or 2 more!!! For everyone who has tatoos- I think they are great and they are truly self expression!!! The one I have been thinking of getting next is a butterfly with the letters K, R, S!!! My mom loved butterflies and those are her initials. I have had a friend of mine draw me a few butterflies with those letters intertwined inside the butterfly, but haven't trully loved what I saw!!!! I want it to be perfect!!! My mom passed away 13 yrs ago when I was only 14, so I thought that would be cool to have on me!!! I love everyones tatoos that I have seen on here!!!!!!!! |
On my spine in between my shoulder blades I have the symbol for womun (the circle with the cross underneath it) and inside of the circle is a crescent moon and a star. And just to answer the question that I always get...no I am not a lesbian but I am a very devout feminist. Sorry just a preempt to what seems like everyone's question. |
1 Attachment(s) Just wanted to add my latest tattoo to this thread, I dont know if i even told anyone that I got another one but anyway here it is |

i have 2, on the top of my left arm i have a very tiny butterfly that needs recolouring and on my right shoulder i have micky mouse which i hate so im having it covered over with a picture of a yorkie head. after hearing about one on a big toe im quite tempted to have one done there of a chrysanthemum flower (my beloved late dad grew them for showing ) and it would be in honour of him. wendy and rosie :rose: :yorkiesar |

Have you thought about going back to get it all the way removed? |
