I just hope he realizes he has screwed himself. Now not only is he going to have to pay what he owes every month, he is also going to have to pay all the BACK support he didn't pay.

NOW he is looking at wage garnishment, license suspension, jail, tax refund interception, etc.

All because he didn't want to put his big boy pants on and go to work and do what has to be done in order to pay his bills.

This man needs to get his priorities in order, and someone needs to teach him a lesson! Go for it! Seems to me he is seeing just how far he can push you, and if he really cared about L, he'd make an effort! Deadbeat Dads, UGH :mad:

Do you have a parenting plan and support court that was entered via court? You need to enforce it. Go through support enforcement. I have my support automatically withdrawn from my ex-husband's paycheck. I wasn't going there. I've heard that if you owe more then like $2500 in back support or something like that you can't travel to Canada or out of country I think. My friend's ex-wife, is a piece of work (that's another story), anyway, she doesn't work. His support order is set up that he gets to claim the child on his taxes until she makes over $25k in a year and then it reverts to every other year. It's been 5 years and she's yet to do it.

Yes, I do have a court ordered parenting plan. Right now he owes me $12,000.00

Turn the deadbeat in now!!! If anything you'll get his tax refund check :D This makes me so mad., I hear my sister in law bitching about this all the time, but she doesn't want to take him back to court and she has two kids, you know what it's HER fault and i don't feel sorry for her when she has no money, i'll just ask her if she took her X back to court yet and then she shuts up...
Turn him in now, if you don't get any money now when he files his tax return, all that money will be yours, the only ones who suffer are the kids and that pisses me off so bad.. I hate to see a child go without cause of a deadbeat Daddy and a mother that feels sorry for him. My butt would be back in court... and i would take him back every year when he gets raises too... Believe me if my Hubby ever leaves he's not going to have a pot to piss in cause i would have that too..... sorry if i sound mean but this is a touchy subject with me, espeacially growin up with a deadbeat dad....

You know thats what finally made me decide to file. I finally woke up and realized that him getting away with sitting around on his ass was MY fault because I LET HIM GET AWAY WITH IT.

People will only treat you the way you ALLOW them to treat you, and I am done allowing him or anyone else to walk over me.

I understand,My sister is going though this also.

Please report him.The Problem is some states dont take the extra time to get the "Dead beat Dads".

Yes, he can work under the table-no taxes-no record of income.He gets the money you get Jack nothing.

I would report him to the IRS.Next time he tries to use the kid(s).They will do a full audit.

We are on the other end of this. My husband has children with his ex-wife and we are suppose to pay 400 a month for child support. We pay half of it a month. She takes what we send and uses it to buy drugs and support her many boyfriends. The other half of what we are suppose to send we use to buy clothes and food for the kids and take it over there. Of course this makes her madder than hell cause she cant use it for anything else but the kids (we take the tags off the clothes and scratch over the UPC lables on the food with a black marker). We bought all the kids school clothes a few years ago before we realized how bad off she was with drugs and she returned ALL of them to the stores for money and then called my mother-in-law crying cause they didnt have any school clothes (they have to wear uniforms and they are very expensive!!)!!!

:bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: i would claim that kid on my taxes too, he didn't give you any money, so tell him your claiming the child on YOUR taxes!!!! Since you supported the child all year, toughin up girl,,, don't take no crap from him... It's hard but you can do it..... i've seen the crap my mom went thru.....

Wow! I can completely understand where you and your husband are coming from. At least he DOES pay it though. I think in your case it is a VERY good idea to do what you are doing. I would make sure to keep all the receipts, that way if she tries going after him the way I am my ex, ya'll can explain the situation and have proof.

Why don't he fight for full custody of his child?? Why would you leave a child in that situation with a mother that does drugs??? that is so sad....

ummm not to be rude or anything but why aren't you going for custody? You leave the kids with a drug using floozy why?

In their defense, even if he did try to get custody it would be next to impossible in most states.

I know here in Georgia, you have to practically drag the judge to down to witness for himself the mother smoking crack while having an orgy and physically beating the s**t out of her kids in order for the father to get custody. Sad, but unfortunately true. :(

ETA: even if he is fighting for custody, it can take YEARS. Family court moves very slowly.

We tried. Her dad has alot of pull in the town that we live in and they made everyone involved believe that since i was in school and we had 2 other children together to provide for that we wouldnt be able to provide for them too?!?!? Crazy huh?? Plus she somehow always knew when she was going to get drug tested and did something to pass it?? Still dont know how that one happened!
Trust me, i hate leaving the kids there. They are here all the time so that they can get help with homework or whatever and have a few days in a normal family. They stay pratically all summer.

Your right. Its the same here in NC too. They believe that the children are better off with the mother no matter what the situation is.
What part of GA do you live in?? My husband and I both grew up in GA and still have alot of family there.
