Administrator | If members have problems with the ads, you may disable Flash and they should not be a problem any more. Here is information on disabling Flash animations: http://johnhaller.com/jh/useful_stuff/disable_flash.asp |

| DaisyMae, maybe I can help. How would you feel about downloading Firefox? You can use it instead of IE. You can still keep IE but you use whichever you want then. If you don't want to delete "flash" then downloading Firefox is the best option because you can block ads pretty easily with it. If you want to download it go to mozilla.org. Click on Products. Click on "Firefox: Rediscover the Web". Then click download. If you do that then I will explain how to use adblock (the directions are already in the "comments" section of YT on how to use adblock also).

| I use Mozilla Firefox and mine was extremely slow also. I just clicked off the "Enable JavaScript" (on Mozilla - Tools - Options - Content - click off Enable Java Script" - OK) and the loading add is now gone and it's much faster. Guess I'll have to remember to turn it back on if I want to do certain things. Mine never had the adds until I added Java to be able to chat and then the adds came on. I know the next time I try to chat I'll wonder why it won't work.

| I don't want to say anything negative, but there seems to be enough folks having trouble that something should be done about the add. People shouldn't have to disable a function of their browser or install a new browser to enjoy this site. I understand the need for adds to maintain the site. But apparently this particular add(s) is slowing things down for a good chunk of people. Isn't there another option to generate income for the site?
