| Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am one of 4 and liked having 3 siblings. My dtr was raised an only child and it is lonely for her. We just reunited with her full brother, my birth son who is 14 years older than her but I feel so much better knowing she has a sibling now. I saw go for it and your boys are a good age tobe able to help.

Any special tricks to get that girl? In my family there are 9 nephews and 2 nieces. My brother and his wife had 3 boys and then finally got their girl, she's just an angel and i know seeing her has made my hubby start to think about trying one more time. NOT that we wouldn't enjoy another boy, we are fully prepared to add another boy to the pack! My husband's brother has 3 boys too. My other brother has one of each. It's not that it is impossible it just seems so hard for us to have girls! Last edited by chloeandj; 10-05-2007 at 06:38 PM. | |

| I do hear that a lot about the middle child. But I think there is a drawback and postive things to each, oldest, youngest and middle. I am really concerned about making each one feel important. |

| I actually am the youngest of two brothers that are a bit older than me. I bugged my mother for a sister for years too and admit that I felt lonely to a certain point growing up. SO that is another concern of mine. Even now, I wish I had a sister sometimes. I was always very close with my mother though and we did everything together. |

| you're not crazy 4 wanting a third child that age difference is fine . 6 years is an age gap where they aren't close enough in age that they will fight all the time, and they are a close enough age so that they can still do things together, and your older children can help your new child out . my mommy got off easy she had 3 children ... 2 boys and one girl (mee) . my brothers are 18 and 20 (1 year and 7 months apart) and im 13 . they never ever fight and they are best friends . they are like bestfriends/guardians to me . they always help me out and hang out with me everyday . 3 children are a dream (says my mommy) good luck with your decision

| I have a son from my first marriage who will be 31 this month and my daughter from this marriage was 20 in May. It was truly like starting over with my daughter and I know she felt like an only child at times... but it worked out. My only regret is that I wish I could have had a bigger family.

| I have 3 also...26, 24 and 21..look at all the help you would have with your older ones. I always thought about another one when my youngest was about 10...thought it would be a asset for the baby and the older ones to have an age spread that would give the baby more attention, more eyes to watch over he or she and a reason to be around more when those "worldly pulls" start pulling them away from home too early...but...i had some "female" problems and didn't...children are blessings and if you do have another...it'll be as if it was meant to be..no matter what advice you get beforehand..
