There are different combination of medications used to treat H. Pylori, so if one of the meds that you are using is making you feel worse then maybe they can change it to something else. My mother had to have one of the meds in the pack changed to something else because the side effects was worse than the h pylori. Are you on a Prev-pack?

I AM SO happy for you ... so this bacteria thingy can be treated easily???
I do what you do also, I look at the drugs prescribed and get scared also .... need to learn to ask the doctor questions first.

Yes, yesterday was my last dose of pills - soooooo far so good today! But I will have to keep taking the Nexium for awhile - but that really doesnt effect me.

HI, glad you are feeling better. After the effects of the antibiotics are gone, if you start feeling bad you definately need to see a GI doctor.
Also, there is a book on the market called the Maker's Diet.
It tells you have to reestablish the normal bacteria in your gut to prevent illness The writer of the book tells his story and his success with his gut issues. Worth the read!!! Good luck!

Oh cool thanks - im definetly going to be looking for that book. It seems like this is a family issue - that no one has ever told me about ofocurse
