So, I've been debating getting an iPhone...help...

So, my treo 680 is the pits! I hate it and have been drooling over the iPhone. But I really want to know ALL the pros and cons. Of course people at at&t and apple store won't say there are any problems at all. Please give me your thoughts if you have an iPhone.

i love love love love LOVE my iphone i hate cingular...but it is really bad in this area. other than our coverage here, i think it is a SUPER phone no complaints here and now that they've dropped the price, i say go for it

100% agree with Mandee. I hated my Treo too and just got the iphone. Love it. The phone is great and I love all the features! We are in Atlanta and I switched from Verizon. I think the coverage is much worse with At&t/Cingular than with Verizon. I'm sure you would love the phone!!!!

What good is a phone if you can't use it? I don't have one, but have heard nothing but frustration from those who do. The coverage area stinks, lots of areas where there is no service. I had that problem with AT & T before Cingular joined them, and the poor coverage area is the reason I left.

i never have any problem using it for the data stuff....email, internet, etc.

and for the most part, we can use it ok...just not here at my house. but when we are out of the house, we can usually use it ok. the coverage is spotty...but really all networks are spotty here. verizon is the best..but i dont like their phones

We just have more cutting in and out than we did with Verizon. A few more dropped calls too. Nothing major (but we are in a metropolitan area) and for me---the phone is worth it. I love having my music, pictures, internet, etc. My husband loves his Blackberry. Will you be using it oversees? I had a friend who ended up with a $2000 phone bill from talking while in Canada for a week. Something to keep in mind. At&t said they have an oversees discount package if you need it.

the only cons i've heard are that the dimness of the screen drives some people crazy, and if you have big fingers it can be hard to use
its a cute phone though

The keyboard is definitely something you need to get used to since it is a touch screen. I wonder if men have trouble since they have bigger fingers?? I love the weather feature.

my dh is better at using it than i am and he has fat fingers. i think you just have to take time to get used to it being a touch screen...it is kinda sensitive but it has this "smart" feature that helps you predict what you are typing so you have less errors.

i like the weather feature too. and love the notes feature...i use it all the time. the camera and photo's feature is very nice. the ipod is GREAT. and i love that the internet is just like on a computer. i use it all the time to chat on YT

I always go to amazon.com, search the product i want, and scroll down to the reviews and see what people say. They're usually very helpful. Remember to look at the bad reviews first those are definitely the cons.

The notes feature is great, but I have to agree that the internet is amazing. I love that it is justy like it is on a computer. My husband's blackberry doesn't look the same as the computer does. I sit in the carpool line and follow the threads on YT. Very cool.

I think you are right---it just depends on how much you use the keyboard. I have gotten a lot better on it the more I use it. The smart feature helps (tries to figure out what word you are trying to type). The price has dropped--that's when I got it.

I had to do the same thing, could'n use it where i needed it most. Verizon is supost to come out before xmas with a new phone like the iphone by LG and called Voyager !
